You woke up Nov was gone, it wasn't that unusual he'd get up before you take a shower, make breakfast but today felt different something was wrong. You got dressed and pulled one of Nov's hoodies on hearing footsteps coming up the stairs you grabbed the gun Nov kept in the nightstand. You could tell it wasn't Nov because it wasn't his voice, cocking the gun you aimed as the man walked in and you pulled the trigger watching the man fall you heard louder footsteps up the stairs.

"Roach, you okay?" This voice you knew it was Soap "(She/he/They) shot me!!!" Now knowing it was Roach you put the safety on the pistol putting it on the bed "He's supposed to be on leave, why are you here?" You were pissed off this was your time with Nov but it's being ruined by the boys. "(She/he/they) hit your vest it'll just bruise. (Y/n), Nov is downstairs he made us wait till you got up. Roach wanted to see if you were up yet" Soap explains helping Roach up "Maybe knock next time okay" You looked at Roach, who nodded feeling bad for scaring you "I'm also sorry for shooting you" you sigh heading downstairs stopping just short of the kitchen hearing Nov and Price argue. "I love (y/n), I love (she/he/they) so fucking much and I'm sorry if you can't understand that" you smiled hearing Nov defend you, he told you he'd defend you till he's dead. "You loved Gaz, remember what happened to him? It crushed you, you didn't shower for days, you didn't do anything for weeks" Price's words stung "Are you trying to say I'll get (Y/n) killed? Because if I remember correctly I struggled with Gaz's death, I was in a dark fucking place for long time but (Y/n) took my hand and ripped me out of that place when no-one else could. So take a second before trying to rip (y/n) from me" Nov growls as Price left the house. You walk into the kitchen see his gear on the table, his head was hung low as you noticed he was in uniform. You could tell he was starting to cry. "Nate?" You take his hand in yours "I'm sorry Lovely, I gotta go back" "No! That's unfair!" You whine as he shakes his head "I'm sorry, Shepherd sent this band of delinquents to come get me" He chuckles softly seeing Soap and Roach leave the house "But isn't Shepherd the same guy who wanted to leave you in the forest to die" You remind him "I'll go deal with this and then I'll come back kiss you a thousand times over and over" he chuckles again "Promise me" "I promise" "Promise me, you'll come back uninjured" "I promise lovely"
