Sigur Ros, The Jam, The Sugarcubes. sighhh.

Sigur Ros are great! If you haven't already you need to check out Ágætis byrjun. It's probably still my favorite. Takk... is great as well, and I really dig Kveikur (their most recent release). It's really cool how they create these beautiful soundscapes and really know how to slow it down to get to the emotional climax. Since they don't always sing in an actual language on every album (like the ( ) album!) it really lets you as the listener tie your own meanings and... yeah. They can get kind of intense once you open yourself up emotionally. I got really into them while writing papers out in the hallway overnight in college, haha. Them, Elliott Smith, Sonic Youth and Jonny G's soundtracks... 

I've never listened to The Jam (or heard of them, tbh). So I'm no help there. :( 

And I really haven't gotten into The Sugarcubes either, mostly because from what I've heard, I really prefer Bjork's solo stuff. Not knocking them, I just like what she does herself more.
