This was inspired from a scene of RP I've been doing with Ja'far from the Magi Madness discord server. When I got the prompt "Library" I thought of this cute scene of them reading a book together on a couch, so here's a bit of that Modern Day Corporation AU~
~*~
It was a chance meeting: a Gala raising funds for charities. His brother had instructed him to network while there, but Kouen didn’t imagine he’d find someone so appealing while attempting to mingle. Something about Ja’far caught his eye and the more he learned of him, the more interested he became. They met up after the event, grabbed a bite at a cafe, worked side by side on their laptops at the park in the dark, and eventually ended up with Ja’far taking Kouen to his home so they could spar for a bit.
After spending the night, he had woken up to a delicious breakfast. Things were so pleasant, he proposed they start dating, which Ja’far accepted. This was new territory for both and Kouen still had a few hours until he needed to be at the airport.
“Let’s do something fun before I go.” As they cleaned up breakfast, Kouen eagerly waited to learn what his new boyfriend considered fun.
But then the question was turned right back at him. “Fun? What did you have in mind?”
“Oh…um…read a book together?” Kouen fumbled as his mind raced over what he enjoyed, and the hours he could spend reading history was the first thing that popped into his head. “...or…we could hit a museum or any of your favorite local places. There’s also the workout room and pool back at my hotel…” the one he was originally going to stay in before meeting Ja’far. “Or we can stay here and spar some more…” He smiled at his perceived smooth recovery and even managed to end his sentence with a coy wink.
Ja’far stared at Kouen for a moment before a chuckle parted from his lips. “I wouldn’t mind enjoying a book together. That sounds rather nice.”
The visitor’s crimson eyes darted to where he recalled seeing the living room before in this quaint abode. He imagined a couch or recliner for them to get comfortable on. “A book it is then. Do you have any recommendations?”
“Kouen, first I just need to tell you something. The moments we have shared…it is unlike anything I’ve experienced. I appreciate that it was with you.” Ja’far smiled gently as he took Kouen’s hand to lead him to his personal collection of books.
It was reciprocated with a firm but gentle grasp by a man hoping the fluster wasn’t so visible on his face. Kouen was at a loss of words from this confession, even though he felt the same way. “T-th…I…ahem…” He curled the fingers of his free hand around his mouth as he cleared his throat with solemnly closed eyes. “To have many more such experiences with you in the future would bring me great joy.”
Arriving at the home library, Kouen opened his eyes to see the selection of books. Many various non-fiction filled the shelves, indicating someone who valued facts. There were also some historical fictions that Kouen’s eyes zeroed in on. Many familiar titles and renowned authors.
His finger rubbed along the top of one, tempted to pull it out. “Oh. I’ve been meaning to read this one…”
Ja’far gently pulled the book out as soon as he heard Kouen’s interest. Silver strands of the calligraphed title contrasted beautifully against the dark brown canvas cover.
“This one it is then. I’ve never had the pleasure to actually finish it.”
“Try not to give any spoilers,” Kouen hummed.
Ja’far directed him to a comfortable two cushion sofa in the living room. “Is here okay?”
Kouen’s hand ran along the green plaid blanket draped over the couch before sitting down to test it. Then with a smirk, he grabbed Ja’far’s wrist and pulled him onto his lap. Sideways at first, but Ja’far opted to turn and lean his back against Kouen’s chest.
He sat the book on his lap and delicately fingered the edge of the cover, savoring the moment before starting an adventure together. It would be easy to lose track of the outside world once started, so Ja’far checked, “Did you leave anything at your hotel room last night? You have time to read, but did you want to check back at the hotel?”
He had only brought the essentials for this short trip, so it was easy to gather all his things the night before. He was pretty sure everything was accounted for. Confidently, Kouen rested a hand on the slender shoulder as the book opened to the preface. “If I forgot anything, I could just buy another.” He nuzzled his chin into Ja’far’s neck. “I’d rather spend this time holding you.”
This made Ja’far’s body quiver, the closeness and attentiveness was endearing. “Of course…” Subtly, he bit his lower lip as he turned the pages to the beginning of the story.
Their height difference was perfect to allow both of them a view of the pages in this position. Ja’far started reading out loud until Kouen cut him off after a few paragraphs, giving them alternating turns to read and listen to the dulcet tones of the other’s voice. Occasionally there were side comments, with them sharing their thoughts or knowledge together. They were swept away by the contents within this magical book. It was all so comfortable and at the same time, mentally stimulating.
Every brush of one’s fingers against the other’s while turning pages sent tingling sensations up their backs. Their breaths wavered at each little squeeze, wondering how things could have gone so right for them. How unexpectedly they found their perfect match and came together as cozily as two jigsaw puzzle pieces.
Surely there must be a way to prolong their time together? Maybe Kouen could get to the airport later and V.I.P. his way through security? Or maybe his plane would be delayed? His eyes scanned across the words as Ja’far read them aloud, but his mind kept going back to the earlier confession: A unique experience, and was glad it was with him. As he wanted more, less awkward words formulated in his mind. When Ja’far finished to allow Kouen a turn, the latter squeezed his arms around the former’s waist and rested his chin on the other’s shoulder.
“These past dozen or so hours have been incredible, Thank you,” Kouen purred sincerely.
The hairs on the back of Ja’far’s neck stood upon the words that graced his ears while his entire face went red. Trying to calm his own nerves of excitement, Ja’far cleared his throat and humbly stated, “You…need not thank me for anything…”
Kouen hummed encouragingly, insisting Ja’far was worth the praise. Still, he settled back into reading out loud: such dramatic authority in his voice to compliment the author’s tone in the current scene.
After some time, they arrived at the last page of the third chapter. Upon finishing the page, the way Kouen’s hand glided over Ja’far’s was more of a caress. Seeing as it was getting late and a convenient stopping point arrived, he gently pushed the book down.
His other hand slid up Ja’far’s arm as he teased amusingly into his ear, “You should fly back with me. If nothing else, so we can finish this story together.”
Ja’far’s breath hitches, those words nothing but enticing to him. He placed a mark in the book before closing it with the intention to keep his focus strictly on Kouen. “As…amazing as that would be…I am needed here…”
“Of course,” a disappointed sigh escaped Kouen’s lips, temporarily easing his hold on the other. “Your company is lucky to have such a dedicated employee.” His arm snaked up Ja’far’s side and fingers stroked under the pale chin, urging them to make eye contact.
“You think so, hm?” Ja’far’s gaze fixated on Kouen, his pale cheeks tinted crimson.
It would be a lie if he said he did not desire someone so dedicated. “I know so.” Kouen then urged Ja’far closer for a kiss.
Ja’far indulged by pressing his lips to Kouen’s. Setting the book on the empty cusion, he shifted to more fully embrace this affection as one kiss became two and then more. The pale fingers started twirling the red locks around them. Kouen’s arms supported the body on his lap. Every caressing touch was electrifying.
Amid the pleasant smiles, Ja’far breathed, “Kouen…”
“Ja’far?” Kouen breathed as he pulled the other closer into him.
“We shouldn’t get carried away. I don’t want to be the reason you’re late…” His dark green eyes gazed at Kouen with a hint of sadness. “It’s time to go.”
Longingly, Kouen gave one last caress on that freckled cheek. “Of course.” Sad as it was, he couldn’t help but admire the other’s responsibility.
Warnings: smut, no condom (wrap it before you tap it y’all ), spanking, cursing, oral, pregnancy talk
The position you were in was anything but holy. Dusan has his head in between your legs playing with your clit, and fingering you.
He was kneeling on the ground while you were on the couch with your legs spread on his shoulders, completely showing yourself to him.
He loved when you did this, he loved when you let loose and let him take care of you
(Flash back to when you came home)
You had just gotten home from work, opening the door and looking for your boyfriend. “Dusan? I’m home”. “In the living room baby”.
When you get into the living room you see him with his legs spread on the couch in nothing but Greg sweatpants (stupid grey sweatpants). They were covering nothing he has to offer.
“Hello gorgeous” he says as he grabs your hand and pulls you down for a kiss.
The kiss quickly escalated and soon you were on his lap straddling him.
He was touching your ass giving it little squeezes and taps every so often
When you pull away to catch your breathe he sets you down on the couch and kneels in front of you taking your pants off.
When your pants are thrown somewhere in the room he spreads your legs open
“Gorgeous girl aren’t you”, “always so pretty” he says before he touches your wetness
He starts to touch you more until you become a little whiny, “cmon baby girl, what do you want” he encourages you to talk to him. He always did this when you had sex. Tease you
“Eat me out Dusan, please” you whine
“Pretty girls always get what they want.” he says before he starts to lick your pussy. He moans onto you sending a vibration through your body as you tug on his hair “Fuck dusan. Right there”
He starts to finger you with two fingers, his big hands really adding a lot of pleasure to the situation.
“Dusan omg I’m”
“I know princess let it go”
And you do just that, you let all the tension you felt in your stomach go as you came on his face.
He licks it all up before rising up from the floor to kiss you, making you taste yourself.
“Dusan fuck me please” you look at him with puppy eyes that you know are his weakness.
He pulls his pants off leaving him in his boxers before he takes you’re shirt and bra off. He was a sucker for your boobs, and rightfully so, because they were, in his words, the more perfect things he’s ever seen.
He starts to kiss your neck and collarbone eventually kissing your breasts and sucking your nipples.
You start to tug at his boxers trying to get them off
He felt you trying to get them off so he helps you “greedy girl. Always wanting my dick.” You only whimper at his comment. Because he was right, you always liked it when he fucked you.
He freed his dick and lined it up with your pussy
Although he changed his mind, he flipped you over so now you were on your hands and knees, giving him perfect access to your ass.
He then lined himself up again and slid into you. He gave you some time to adjust to his size.
“You ready beautiful?” He asked you. You nodded your head “No baby. Give me words.”
“Yes dusan I’m ready”
He started to fuck you, not to fast or hard, but at the perfect speed for you to feel everything he was giving you.
His hands started to roam from your hip and waist to your ass. He spanked you. Hard enough to leave a mark.
You yelp at the contact. It wasn’t very often he would spank you, but when he did, you couldn’t help but feel all giddy inside.
He spanked you a couple more times making you moan louder until you were almost cumming.
He felt you clench so he lifted you up so your back was against his chest. You turned your head and kissed him. His hands were now grabbing your boobs until you both came
Once you were finished he laid you down on the couch and sat on the floor to catch his breath before he went to go get a towel and clean you up
He looked at you and noticed more cum than usual leaking out of you “fuck baby I came in you”
You looked at him and just smiled “I don’t really care dusan. Maybe kids wouldn’t be too bad”
He just looked at you, then got on top of you again “let’s try and make one then”
You laughed and just kissed knowing this was going to be a long night.
A/N and Warnings: Smut, Language and mentions of alcohol. 18+
There he was, in all his glory, with his black hair matted to his sweat covered skin. Nikki fucking Sixx. Notorious rockstar. My boyfriend. And a great performer. So we’re Vince, Mick and Tommy. But Nikki knew how to read the crowd. He got them going. Even this far into a show.
But tonight instead of looking at me, just off stage, when the band played ‘Without You’, he was focused on some girl in the crowed. Again. Winking and smiling at her as she flashed her barely covered tits. He usually looked for me during that song. Although, he had done this a couple of time over the tour, the one he insisted I come on. Both occasions had ended up with us fighting, then not being able to keep our hands off one another. He’d apologize and say it wouldn’t happen again. But here we were.
Nikki and I had a relationship that some might consider volatile. We thought of it as intense and passionate. He liked that I could match him wit for wit. We fed off each other like fire and gasoline. There wasn’t much he could throw at me that I couldn’t catch and give right back.
And I don’t like to share.
As for tonight, I was done. I wouldn’t accept his apology. He was going to find out just how pissed I was. I knew jealousy was a useless emotion especially, when dating a rockstar. But it constantly reared it’s ugly head.
I turned on my heels and all but stomped back to the dressing room, pushing past roadies and anyone else that got in my way. I knew the set list by heart now. Two more songs and an encore. Which only gave me time to stew in my anger and annoyance.
I stormed into the dressing room, slamming the door behind me before I began to pace. Muttering and cursing under my breath.
How could he do this again? But why was I so mad? He hadn’t touched her, but that was my song.
I was seething. My blood was boiling in my veins. White hot anger was feeding off the jealousy. Anger was easy for me.
By the time the show was over, I was sitting on the sofa, waiting. I stared at the door, wishing my gaze could burn a hole through it.
Tommy was the first one in, as he basically kicking the door open. His adrenaline was running high.
“Wooooo!” He yelled as he made his way over and tried to embrace me “awesome show huh, y/n?”
“Ew, get away” I said shoving at his sweat and liquor coated bare chest, making him laugh before he took a seat in another chair. He always acted like a over grown, overly enthusiastic puppy waiting for you to throw a stick or give him belly rubs.
Vince was close behind Tommy as he made his way to the table in front of me, grabbing one of the many drinks that littered its surface.
“Great show” I said as he looked up at me, giving me a smile and wink. He liked to rest his voice after a show, not that the smoking and drinking helped. But whatever.
Mick took a seat next to me, I could see the pain written on his face. His body slowly relaxing into the worn out furniture.
“Another great show Mick” I said turning to smile at him. Keeping up the nice act until I could rip into Nikki.
He reached up an patted my cheek as he replied “thanks doll”.
“What? Don’t I get any praise?” Nikki said as he sauntered into the room. I leveled my gaze at him. The cocky smirk that I loved plastered on his handsome face.
I crossed my arms over my chest as I narrowed my eyes. Not saying a word.
“Bbbbrrrrrr” Tommy said, faking a shiver “I just caught a chill!” He looked at Vince who tried to hide his laughter.
“Then put some clothes on asshole” Nikki snapped at him before turning his attention back to me. The two of us staring one another down. Neither of us willing to break.
“Not this shit again” Mick groaned as he stood. He mulled over the bottles on the table, picking one up, he checked it out as he spoke “go easy on him doll, we still need him for the remaining shows.” With that he made his way out of the room, heading to the limo I assumed.
“I thought you said she wasn’t gonna be a problem, dude” Tommy chimed in again. I turned my gaze to him, making him squirm uncomfortably as I stared daggers at the nearly naked man.
“Uuuhhh, yup” Tommy mummbled as he hopped up, grabbed a couple of bottles and bolted out into the hall. Vince followed suit, shaking his head and rolling his eyes as he shut the door.
“I didn’t think you would be a problem.” Nikki said, his gaze never leaving my face.
“I am not the problem here, Nikki. You and your roving eyes are” I said through gritted teeth, my fists clenching. Jealousy biting at me again. Groupies were everywhere, hiding under vehicles and even breaking into hotel rooms. I’d had my fair share of fights with them.
“Looking ain’t touching, sweetheart” he said, the smirk returning to his lips. As much as I loved it, I also wanted to slap it right off his face. I hated the truth behind his statement, but I knew if I looked he’d kill the guy. So turn about is fair play.
“You asked me to come with you, remember?” I asked, getting to my feet “Why was that? To warm your bed on nights you couldn’t find it elsewhere? Are you trying to make mad?”
“Oh, baby, I could always find it” he replied, taking a few steps closer toward the table that separated us. My anger flared, it took all my will power not to shove the table and all its contents at him. Instead I made my way around and stopped right in front of him. I craned my neck to look him in the eyes, he towered above me.
“Then why the hell am I still here? If you’d rather have some groupie slut, I won’t stand in your way” I spat, my temper rising.
“You love it. You love the scene. That’s why you’re still here.” He said, leaning his face closer to mine before whispering “that and the fact that you can’t get enough of me.”
Before I could stop myself, my hand is flying toward his face. A moment before it made contact with his cheek, he swiftly caught my wrist. Anger was getting the best of me.
“You’re a dick!” I yelled. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears.
A deviously, amused look crossed his face “I’ll show you dick” he said as he crashed his lips into mine. My body, reacted as it always did when he touched me, but my mind wouldn’t allow this. I shoved at his chest “no Nikki, sex and apologizes won’t work this time!”
“I haven’t apologized” he said lowly before kissing me again. His hand pushing and tugging at my tube top, until it was at my waist.
“You asshole” I said against his lips. He felt so good, his lips, his hands, his body. My resolve was breaking. My fingers dug into his sweaty hair, causing him to groan. He loved having his hair pulled.
He began to walk me backwards, and towards the sagging sofa I had only just left.
“Not the couch” I said half heartedly. Pulling his ripped up shirt over his head, and throwing it across the room as if it were on fire.
“Alright” he laughed. He squatted and hooked his hands under my bare thighs, lifting me off the ground and pressed me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist as my skirt rode up, his leather clad stiffness pressed against my naked core.
“Look at you...no panties” he tsked, grinding into me, his hand wrapping loosely around my throat “and you talk shit about groupies.”
“Shut up” I whimpered, my own hand wrapping around his wrist, pressing his hand harder into my throat. He leaned down, reaching to take one of my nipples in his mouth. He grazed his teeth over the sensitive nub as I withered under his touch. My nails bit into the bare flesh of his back, causing his own moan to fall from his sinful lips.
“Told you you can’t get enough” he whispered as one of his hands slipped between us, unlacing his pants.
“Never” I panted before kissing him again.
Nikki struggled to push his pants down, but as soon as he shoved them low enough, he slammed into me, causing me screamed in pleasure. Wrecking me completely. He pounded into me over and over again, at a brutal pace.
“More” I begged. “Harder.” Getting louder with each stroke.
Nikki began to bite my neck, speaking between bites, he said “I’m gonna...let everyone...know who owns...you”. His hand wrapped around my hair, pulling my head, exposes freshly healed skin from our last makeup session.
“If you own me” I moaned “then I own you.” I bit his neck hard, making him hiss. My fingers ranked against his scalp, jerking his head to the side as my teeth sank into his skin. His scent and salty, sweaty taste filled my senses. He was my favorite vice.
“Yes” he groaned, his strokes becoming quicker, his breathing faster. He was getting close. He slipped a hand between us again, this time his skilled fingers found my clit as he began to rub circles over the swollen, sensitive crux. His other hand digging into my thigh so harshly I knew there’s be bruises. Only adding to the collection.
“Why do you want groupies Nikki” I breathed, squeezing myself around him, causing his eyes to flutter for a moment “when I know what you like?”
“Yeah...you do baby” he said. He could read me too. His beautiful green eyes seemed to glow as he slowly raked them over my face. His bare chest firmly against mine, keeping me pinned to the wall.
Suddenly his lips were on mine, with bruising force, as his fingers worked my clit harder. I cried out louder, as wave after wave of pleasure washed over me.
“Come with me baby” he commanded in my ear.
The two of us breathing heavily as we hurtled towards the edge. I went over first, calling out his name, and he quickly followed. Our moans, screams and the sound leather against skin were followed by our panting and huffing to catch our breath. My head lulled back against the wall with a soft thud as his fell to my shoulder, my hand tangling itself in his hair again, the other tracing shapes over his shoulder.
“Sorry baby” he said quietly against my skin before placing a few sloppy kisses across my shoulder and neck.
“I’m sorry I tried to slap you” I hum, kissing the cheek that nearly caught my fury. “But I have to know, you are trying to make me jealous, aren’t you?” I ask.
He slowly pulls out of me, leaving me with a hollow feeling as he gently let me down to the floor. I felt the mixture of our hot climax slowly slide down my shaking legs. I shimmy my skirt down and pulled my tube top into place before looking back up at him.
“Yeah. I am” he said, mischief painting his face, as he finished tucking himself in this leather pants.
“You’re such a jerk” I said swatting at him “what the hell for?”
He laughed as he blocked my playful assault “Hey, hey! What about being sorry for trying to hit me?”
“Like I’m hurting you” I laugh. “So why?”
“You like it rougher when your jealous and mad. I was thinking about this the entire show. I knew you’d be getting riled up, I wanted to bend you over the sofa the minute I walking into the room. Seeing how angry you were, just thinking about it...so hot baby. Shit, last time I thought you were going to pass out, but you begged me to choke you harder.” He admits.
“So the other times? You did it to get a rise out of me then too?” I asked, my arms crossing over my chest.
“Yup” he replied, before he turned to the table to grab each of us a beer.
“That wasn’t even that rough for us Nikki” I quipped.
He chuckled as he turned back to me, “No, but check out your neck and I think you may have drawn some blood” he said reaching a hand around to touch his back.
“I’ll say it again, you’re a dick” I replied shaking my head, taking the beer from him. But I couldn’t help but smile.
“You love it” he growled, his arm snaking around my waist before he kissed me.
“Well, now what will you do, since you’ve confessed your little game to me and all?” I asked looking up at him.
“Oh, I’ll come up with another game” he mused, that sexy and sometimes infuriating smirk returning to his lips.
“I’ll be waiting” I replied, cocking a brow at him.
“And you’re here because I want you here, you’re important to me.” He said gently, looking into my eyes, a soft genuine smile playing on hip swollen lips. This was a side of him I didn’t see often. I was used to the cocky rockstar, but this side of him is what melted my heart. The sweet and loving man he kept hidden, he was the one that asked me on the tour. How could I deny him?
“Turning soft on me now, Sixx?” I asked, smiling up at him.
“Never” he said, and just like that, the tenderness was hidden again. His hand came down swift and hard on my ass, making me yelp.
“Ow! Fuck!” I whined. Rubbing my hand over the spot he’d just smacked.
“We already did” he quipped as he pulled me closer to him. “And I plan on doing it again” he whispered lowly as he leaned into my ear before nipping at my skin “soon”.
Suddenly there was a pounding at the door followed by Micks muffled voice, “if the two of you are done with your weird sex ritual, can you get out to the limo? We have some partying to do.”
We both fell into laughter as we headed out the door.
“Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Kimberly and I’m your chief flight attendant. On behalf of the entire crew, Welcome aboard Korea Airlines flight 888, non-stop service from Los Angeles to Incheon. At this time, make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Also, make sure your seat belt is correctly fastened."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I leaned back into the spacious first-class seat while the attendant went over the rest of the safety instructions. I took in the wide spacious area and complimentary champagne that was still fizzing in the crystal glass. I have been in first-class countless times now, however, it was always a humbling experience for me. I closed my eyes and remembered the time when I'd peered into the aisle from my economy class seat, hoping to catch a glance of the coveted first-class section. The people in the business class looked so far away from me. Their sharp suits and designer dresses were completely contrary to my thrifted ensemble. I remember being so nervous during that flight's take off that I grabbed the hand of the boy next to me. I squeezed his hand tight causing him to look over at me and smile. He had such a wonderfully bright smile.
I opened my eyes choosing not to remember the past, but instead take in my own sharp appearance. My navy high waist business pants were perfectly tailored and my crisp sheer white top didn't have a wrinkle in sight. Versace sunglasses sat on top of my recently straightened hair that had somehow managed to stay immaculate on the way to the airport. I had made it to first-class and I knew that young girl who just a few years ago peered out into the aisle would be proud of me.
"Because we are traveling over water there will be no wi-fi on this flight. However, all passengers are welcome to cut on electronic devices while they are on airplane mode. Thank you."
I took that as my cue to open up my laptop. I had to finish my article " What Makes a Man Fall in Love" which would tie into my interview with Korea's golden boy G-Dragon for next month's issue. It was a load of crap, but it was what would put food on the table, so I opened up a word document and stared at the blank screen. I continued to stare at the blank white screen for a few more minutes. Nothing. I decided to plug in my headphones for a more isolated feeling hoping that it would spark some creativity. I started to lightly hum the slow but catchy tune. Soon my hums were replaced by deep sighs as I repeated the constant cycle of typing then erasing. Letting out one last sigh I finally typed a complete sentence on the barren screen.
"What the hell is love anyway?"
The letters were big and bold. They were taunting me as I sat with my head back against the seat in frustration. Suddenly, I heard someone plop down in the vacant space next to me. To my surprise, it was Mr. Golden boy himself.
"Article not coming along?" He asked with a cocky grin.
"Actually, It's coming along just fine." I almost snorted as I closed my laptop harshly.
"Ahh ok. 'What the hell is love anyway?'" He rubbed his chin like he was pondering the question himself, "I don't think your readers buy your magazine for one sentence articles."
My patience with my unwanted guest was running thin. "How may I help you, Mr. Kwon? I believe our interview isn't scheduled until tomorrow."
"Well, I heard all of that huffing and puffing from behind you and thought that I would come to help you out."
I could feel the heat of embarrassment rush towards my cheeks. Was I really that loud? I should have taken out my headphones! I feigned professionalism and slapped on my best corporate smile.
"Thank you for your concern Mr.Kwon. However, I think I can handle it." He made himself more comfortable in the chair next to me completely dismissing my request for him to leave.
"So, you've never been in love before?" He was still grinning at me. My last nerve had just snapped in two.
"No," I said as coldly as possible. His grin slowly fell into a subtle frown as he heard my answer.
He broke eye contact as he looked down for at his hands for a moment. When he looked back up his signature smirk was back.
"Never?" He pressed.
"No. Never," I said as absolutely as the first time.
"Well, what does love mean to you?" He crossed his arms as he waited for my reply.
"It means nothing. It is a term used by people to make them feel like their fleeting desire and lust is somehow deeper than it is." I was upset with myself for letting my guard down, but I hated the concept of love so much that I lost control. " People use it to make each other feel special. It gives people a faux sense of security and it does nothing more."
He went silent.
"Well, that's quite a cynical view for a love columnist."
"Its the truth. People say that they 'love' someone, but what is the one thing, men especially look for in a relationship?" I let the question hang in the air for a fraction of a second before continuing.
"Sex. And when they can't get it they don't feel like that particular relationship is fulfilling. Love is completely forgotten. Women aren't innocent either. Everyone wants something physical whether it's sex or not. When a human sees an attractive person everything else becomes void. Even an existing relationship. In the end, love is really just a bunch of hormones that either breakdown to horniness or loneliness. " I was on fire and there was no stopping my anti-love rant.
"I write articles for my readers. I give them what they want to hear. I also make people like you look like those fantastic fantasies your fans have. So, since I'm doing you a favor I'd rather not be criticized by you." I was eager to hear how he would come back to that so I turned my body to face him mirroring his nonchalant crossed arms form.
"Oh, you aren't doing me a favor. Unlike you I actually believe in love."
That made me genuinely chuckle. "Ok, so what is love to you? I cocked my head to the side in anticipation. His face grew serious.
"Love means a lot of different things to me. In a webster dictionary type of way love is a mix of emotions ranging from affection to passion. Love is wanting to see that person when you are down, being ok with being in silence with them, having your mind wander to thoughts of them all the time, wanting to protect them.."
My chest got tighter after each explanation. But, I still waited for him to finish.
"But, it is also the small things. Like..when you get scared on a plane ride, yet you reach out to hold their hand because they make you feel safe.."
I was clenching my jaw trying to fight the stinging I felt in my eyes. Memories from our first and last vacation together began to animate in my mind. I needed to remind him of where it all fell apart.
"So, do you love Ms.Kiko? She must be all of those things for you. I mean you guys are the talk of the town."
His expression grew hard. When he didn't respond I angrily pressed the issue.
"I mean you must, right? It has been how many years now? There was even a rumor going around that you cheated on your previous girlfriend with Ms.Kiko."
I had mentioned the rumor to get a reaction out of him, but I also felt the ache in my own chest. I remembered having to sit around as strangers murmured about his previous girlfriend who to them was, frustratingly veiled in anonymity. My own co-workers gathered to gossip about 'how heart-broken she must be' with no idea that they were inadvertently discussing my own love life.
I opened my laptop and returned to the word document ready to take notes.
"What are you doing Eva?"
I set my hands on the keyboard like I was ready to type. "You said that you wanted to help. You can help by giving me the interview I need now. So, tell me about the love of your life. The beautiful Ms.Kiko."
"Eva stop." He sternly ordered as I ignored him. When I didn't react he reached over and shut my laptop. He accidentally pulled the headphones out of the computer which caused the soft melody of his new song "Loser" to flow out of my computer. I nearly chewed a hole through my bottom lip as I tried to get the music to stop playing. Once I did an awkward silence consumed us. That was until he delivered the final blow.
"Do you still love me, Eva?"
I tried to be stern. "Cut the shit, Ji Yong. You know what we had wasn't ever love."
"Really? I always thought that it was." His seemed sincere, but the scars from our past relationship were too deep for whatever this was.
"I'd like it if you left now Ji Yong. Why don't you just get up and leave? It shouldn't be that hard since it's exactly what you did four years ago. Oh yeah, you're waiting until you catch me off guard, maybe even vulnerable and naive like last time."
He started to cut me off, but I lifted my finger signaling him to stop. "Sorry to disappoint, but that girl is gone, Ji Yong. Now if you will excuse me."
I stood up and scooted past him. I found a flight attendant to request a seat change when I felt someone tug on my wrist.
I stage whispered for him to let go so we wouldn't cause a scene. After I realized that he was not planning on letting go I quietly followed behind him to protect both of our reputations. The last thing I needed was to be wrapped up in a scandal with G-dragon. It would undoubtedly ruin my career in Korea. I could see the headlines now- "Foreign Vixen Seduces our Beloved Oppa!"
Finally, as we made it to the middle of the aircraft he aggressively pulled me into the restroom. He stepped closer to me, trapping me against his chest.
"What do you want Ji Yong?" I made the mistake of looking up at him. He wasn't much taller than me so his gaze seemed to look into me.
"Do you still love me, Eva?" He asked slowly. I could feel his breath on my face..tempting me.
"No. I don't." I turned my head to break out of the trance his gaze had on me.
He grabbed my chin, forcing me to look him in the eyes again.
"Bullshit."
I felt the tears start to weld in my eyes. However, I didn't plan on succumbing to him.
With his hand still on my chin, I asked him again. "Do you love her Ji Yong?"
"I left because I had to, Eva. You were too innocent and you weren't ready for the stress that came along with being in the spotlight. I did what I did to protect you."
I scoffed at his ridiculousness. "You expect me to believe that?"
"I do."
He encircled my waist with his arms. I tried to push him off of me.
"Ji Yong stop. What about Kiko? Don't you love her?" I placed my hands against his chest not-so-convincingly trying to push him away, "We can't do this."
His grip got tighter causeing my hands to clench the fabric of his shirt. I kept telling myself that what we were doing was wrong, but as I stood pressed into his chest feeling the familiar embrace all rational flew out the window. I was in a daze caused by his amazing cologne, his firm chest, the desperate look in his eyes, his lips, and the memories of what it was like when we were together. When I loved him.
"I've never once said the words 'I love you' to her." He responded in a husky voice against my lips.
"And that is supposed to mean something to me Ji Yong?"
"Yes. I do not say it if I do not mean it."
He tilted his head more until his lips connected with mine. I felt so many things. Disappointment, lust, excitement, sadness, passion....love.
His right hand slowly trailed from my waist to my hair. He lightly tugged on it deeping the kiss. His lips were soft and careful.
However, a sudden realization seeped its way into my mind. He has never said the words ' I love you' to me either..
All you wanted to do was go home, have a little glass of wine, pass out, and not get up until well into the afternoon. You figured that was fine. You weren't asking for much, surely you'd be allowed that simple want?
A double shift on your feet was rewarded with nearly the whole bottle. More than what you had planned, but you didn't have plans for tomorrow, so whatever. Pleasantly buzzed, bordering on drunk, you stumbled into bed, konking out before you fully hit the mattress.
Suffice to say, this would lead to being the biggest mistake you would ever make.
The dull, painful beat in your head is what woke you. Your taste came next, grimacing at the mix of morning breath and dry bile. You must have vomited in your mouth just a little, not feeling any crusty chunks, nor smell the sourness. But, there was another smell, much stronger...
Smoke.
You inhaled sharply as your body kicked you awake, regretting it instantly as you were sent into a violent coughing fit. You couldn't get enough clean air in to stop. You grabbed a pillow, shoving your face into it in an attempt to stop. You were able to get enough control to take everything in.
Early afternoon sun filtered from your window, making odd shapes in the thick, black smoke that was wafting through your bedroom. It was exceptionally warmer. But where was it coming from?
Confusion gripped you. What had happened? What was happening? How long had this been going on? Did anyone else know? You needed to get out, you knew you did and you wanted nothing more than to flee. You couldn't move though, breathing hard into your pillow to get oxygen that wasn’t there.
A long creaking from above startled you to drop the pillow, gasping in fright, in turn triggering you to once again try and hack up a lung. Another sound caught your attention as you used your hands to cover your nose and mouth. From the window. Shouts. Screams. Sirens. Help.
You needed help. They needed to know you were there. You took a step forward, jumping back when the groaning creak sounded again. Louder this time. You couldn't tell if the ceiling was bowing or the heat was playing tricks.
You needed to get out. Trying to call for help might take too long when you could at least start to pull yourself out of the heat through the fire escape or into the outside hallway. Luckily, your bedroom door was left open so you could easily tell if it was safe to proceed. It seemed the fire was coming from the apartment above yours.
The rest of your home was full of smoke, wisps of flames were licking along the ceiling here and there. They were more prominent toward the front door. Alright, escape down the stairwell wasn't happening. How much had this spread? Did your alcohol-induced slumber really keep you from waking sooner?
Intense snapping from behind caused you to spin around. You yelped, watching the above floor collapse into your bedroom. Intense heat rushed over you, embers quickly growing as they lapped up your untouched furniture.
You stood there dumbly, watching as your home was burned away. Everything you had, gone in a matter of seconds.
A loud creak from above pulled you out of your pity-party. What the hell were you doing? Your life was on the fucking line and you were crying over some clothes. You could do that later. Right now, the fire escape.
You stumbled to the window, coughing and wheezing. You flung the little tabs that sat under it out of the way and began working to open it. Easier said than done with your shaking. You couldn't muster enough strength. Why? It was a window. Had you missed a latch?
It was painted shut.
God damn, fucking, lazy-ass maintenance!
You were going to make the biggest complaint when you got out. You grabbed a hefty ornament from your shelf and chunked it, the glass easily breaking. You didn't get the chance to break it any farther, the groaning and snapping above caused you to look up. Fire was waving over the bending ceiling, cracks quickly growing.
You lunged back, the mess just missing you, but effectively blocking your exit. You didn't get the time to stand. The apartment had only paused in its collapse, the rest of it catching you off guard long enough to fall onto you.
Wood, smoke, ash, and who knows what else filled your lungs as beams and piping caged you in. What little air you had left was knocked from you as what you thought was a couch landed on your legs and lower back. You felt something crack. Chunks of concrete landed heavily around you, smaller bits bouncing off your arms that encircled your head. One large piece hit the floor a little too close for comfort before gravity pulled it down on top of you. The fire hadn't yet reached you, but the heat was enough to scorch your skin.
The panic that had been slowly building was now spiraling out of control, coupled with your adrenalin, keeping you from feeling too much of the excruciating pain your body was in. You were sobbing as much as your clogged lungs would allow. There were no tears, the heat eating them up before they could form. You were trapped. You didn't know if anyone knew you were here. You would die here.
I'm scared!
Flashes of the night before came to your mind. Then the previous day. Then week. Your life played out in reverse as the ever growing flames nipped at your feet. Your family. Your friends. Coworkers. Acquaintances. People you hated. People you admired. Accomplishments you'd achieved. Goals you'd never reach. Dreams you'd never have again.
Please…
Through your fading vision, you could see your front door. It was missing. A figure was in its place, their bright green standing out almost blindingly among the red. Your brain couldn't quite piece together that it was a person until they moved inside… You recognized that green.
I'm here! Here! Right here! Please!
He frantically moved in and out of your vision several times, muffled shouts reaching your cotton filled ears. He couldn't see you and you couldn't make any noise loud enough for him to hear. Not even a cough. But maybe…
Your arms were still around your head, one stuck against the concrete pressing on you, but the other was only slightly wedged. If you wiggled it just enough you could maybe- there! It pulled free, flopping to the ground before you, your hand hopefully in full view.
That was it. That was all you could do. There was an intense, stinging pain at your side that was quickly trailing up your screaming back. You couldn't feel your legs anymore. Your breath was so shallow, body not having the strength to cough anymore. You were so exhausted…
***
You didn't wake slowly. Nor did you jolt awake. You just… woke up.
Your head rolled against something soft, peeling your eyes open to hazy objects against white. Lights were off but it wasn't really dark. A steady beep echoed from far away. You felt sluggish and heavy, your thoughts trudging through molasses as you tried to take everything in. There was mild soreness that pulsed through your whole being. You wanted to go back to sleep.
A click sound found its way to you. You lolled your head toward it, catching a green blur slowly making its way to you. You blinked in a desperate attempt to clear your vision as it lowered itself into what you thought might have been a chair. Garbled noises slurred together as you stupidly stared at the moving mouth… This was a person.
They stood again suddenly, you moving your head to try to keep up. They sat back down just as quickly. It made your head spin.
All at once you felt awful. You groaned as the soreness you felt escalated exponentially. Tears pricked at your eyes as you tried to understand why your skin felt like it was on fire.
Because it had been on fire.
Your head didn't feel entirely clear, but it was enough to remember your apartment had burned down with you inside it. To realize you were in a hospital. To see that Pro Hero Deku sitting right next to you.
Despite being more coherent, you still gaped stupidly at his nervous grin. You blinked, only realizing that he had been talking to you.
“S-sorr-” you were launched into a very painful coughing fit, sending every fiber in your body into uncomfortable spasms. A straw came into view when you had calmed enough, taking it into your mouth without thinking beyond wanting it to stop.
When the lukewarm water had soothed your throat enough did your position click. Pro Hero Deku was holding the cup and straw for you, looking adorably flustered. If you were embarrassed no one would be able to tell from the heat of your burns. Yourself included.
“S-sorry!” He stuttered out, placing the cup to the side. “Don't try to talk right now, okay? O-or move!” He attempted to push you back down as gently as he could. You didn't fight it. You were too weak to even get up on your elbows. He instead raised your bed a little so that you were semi-sitting up. You tried to give him a smile in thanks, only to wince. That hurt too. How badly injured were you?
Deku settled, looking upset. He held your tired gaze for a moment, the only sound being the heart monitor and your shallow breathing. He dropped his head, gripping the sheets tightly.
“I'm… I'm sorry.”
He was sorry? For what? If you recalled, he had saved you. If anything, you should be groveling in thanks! Or at least be able to verbally apologize for not being physically able to. Slowly, you nudge your hand to his, lightly tapping your finger against his knuckle. God, even that little movement was tiring and uncomfortable. He looked up to find your eyebrows furrowed as much as they were able to be in confusion. He sighed and looked away, running his hand through his hair, little bits of stuff flying off.
...Ash. Ash and rubble bits. You just noticed. He was covered in it. His costume also looked a little worse for wear. Had he really been here all this time? How long had it been since he pulled you out of the building? Was anyone else hurt? And, not that you were complaining, why was he allowed to walk around the hospital like this?
“We thought…” his soft voice pulled you out of your thoughts. “I thought we had gotten everyone. The apartment two floors above where I found you… A little girl had manifested her quirk and it scared her. The fire spread a lot quicker then if it had been caused by anything else.” He swallowed hard, his hair was blocking his eyes from you. “I had heard something falling down the fire escape and noticed a broken window where the fire hadn't reached yet…”
A small sniffle came. His hands were threatening to rip the sheets. “I-if I had checked each floor! I had been in such a hurry to get everyone out from the floors that had been affected, that I just assumed everyone else had gotten out!”
Your eyes widened. No. No, no, no, no! He shouldn't be beating himself up over this! You'd gotten drunk enough the night before that you had slept through most of it! If you had had any more than you had, you would probably have burned to death on your bed! You were alive! Sure, you more than likely had second-degree burns, but you lived!
You tapped his knuckle a little quicker, trying to make a face that would tell him that you'd be alright. That you didn't blame him for anything. You were surprised to find his eyes so glossy, tears quickly building in the corners.
“I-” he took a breath in an attempt to compose himself. “I wanted to be here in case you woke up before… You haven't been out long. The doctors said you might, but…” He was ever so gently holding your hand now. The material of his gloves scratched painfully against your raw skin, but you didn't protest. You wanted the comfort it seemed to bring the both of you, and the physical discomfort it brought you was enough to stave off the fatigue that was quickly creeping in.
“The doctors… I volunteered to be the one to tell you and they agreed that it might be better for you hearing this from me if you woke up, a Hero…” A few tears escaped, which he quickly wiped away. You'd seen him cry on the news without issue, why was he trying to keep a brave face now? The beeping of your monitor picked up a little. What was he trying to say?
“Your injuries… You inhaled a lot of smoke and embers, causing burns inside of your mouth and throat. You mostly have second-degree burns and very few third-degree…” He swallowed hard. “Your right side and lower back have fourth-degree burns and your legs… had them.”
Your legs…
Fatigue forgotten, you desperately made to sit up. Deku vehemently protested but was hesitant to force you down and cause you more pain. You had to see. You needed to see.
It was a struggle, but you managed to confirm it with your own eyes before your body gave out. Instead of your legs stretched out to form lumps beneath the sheets, there was nothing. They stopped less than halfway down your thighs.
There were no tears or cries of anguish. You felt… empty. Hollow. Even the heart monitor was evening out. You were in shock. Understanding what was happening, but not fully grasping it. Beside you, Deku was quiet. Letting you take your time. When you turned your head to him, he looked ready to burst.
“I-I… I wish that was it… They told me that fourth-degree burns have a high mortality rate and they got infected from debris being lodged in them, so they… removed your legs. Your back and side… are also infected.” His voice had grown small. “A-and t-there's… there’s-”
He couldn't get it out, gripping your hand a little tighter as he hiccuped to keep his tears in. But, you didn't need him to finish. You already knew the words he was choking on.
You were going to die.
Again, you understood it but weren't fully comprehending it. It was strange. While burning alive in your apartment, you were in a panic, thinking you were going to die when help had been right there. A charcoaled body lying under debris, waiting for some poor sap to stumble upon you and begin the process of trying to remove your corpse that would probably be melted to that couch.
Now? You were in a sterile, scratchy hospital bed. In pain, in shock, missing your legs, and still dying despite all the effort. With one of the top five Heroes now weeping over you, profusely apologizing for not getting to you sooner, for not thinking to check every apartment, for not saving you.
You made a strangled noise, pulling at your trapped hand to get his attention. It took a moment, but he eventually did quiet, sniffling and wiping away the thick streams of tears that he just couldn't seem to stop. Good. You were too tired to stay awake much longer. You took a few shuddering breaths, making sure to keep your voice to that of a breathy whisper as to not irritate your throat too much. You needed him to hear, regardless of his protests.
“S… save,” your gums and jaw hurt and your tongue was having the hardest time working correctly, making your words come out garbled. This was going to be difficult. “You save… m-me.” Jeez, you were out of breath. “Th… than’ you… 'ey, s'op cr… ‘ryin’.” He looked up at you when you tapped his hand again. You didn't know if he was blurry due to your eyes having trouble staying open or if you yourself were crying. You squeezed his hand weakly as you gave a small smile through the hurting pull of your face.
“You... 'ave me. Don’... you… dare thin’... you didn’, yeah?” God, you were beyond ready to sleep. You took a moment to catch your breath. “Sm… smile? P’ease? Wa…” You were fading fast but were determined to get what you wanted to say out.
“Wan’ see… you smile… p'ease, De'u…” A stream of air left you as you relaxed. That was it. That was all you had. Your eyes were hardly staying open, but you saw it.
The thousand-watt smile Deku was known for cut through your darkening vision. Regardless of the clear sorrow he held, tears still falling, it was every bit as joyous and bright as the television and photos portrayed, if not more.
With that image imprinted in your brain, you stopped fighting, slipping off to sleep.

bubbles, darkness, i was to far down in the depths i could feel the seaweed creeping up my ankles.
my last breath, no i can’t let it out.
don’t panic, keep kicking!
as much as i repeated those words in my head i saw the bubbles come from my mouth, air escaping into the ink like water.
it was closing in, i can’t kick anymore!
someone help!
please don’t let me drown!
i was sinking like an anchor my own body giving up and becoming heavy like chains.
this was it?
i opened my eyes, blurry, darkness.
what was that?
there are eyes staring at me!
blue, they are beautiful.
so close, thats all i can see.
did angels swim?
gasping for air i clawed at my sheets.
that dream again. that memory.
those eyes.
i moved from my bed and grabbed my robe moving out of my room and to my front door.
it was raining outside but i payed no mind to the water falling out of the sky.
the water i cared about was vast and i quickened my pace to the shores edge.
it was the middle of the night, a full moon reflected on the surface.
the smell assaulted me before the waves did, i moved my body out as far as it would go. i didn’t dare go further then i could stand with my toes grounded in the sand.
my dream. my memory.
i was saved when i was a little one.
the only survivor from a ship wreck.
those blue eyes became my savior when i wished not to go on through out the years.
as i got older and left my parents house they had left me, the one we were sailing to by the ocean i always found myself coming back.
i was still afraid of the water though i had no right to be with the gift he gave me that night.
i know even he would be sleeping right now, somewhere using the soft coral as a mattress and seaweed as a blanket.
his friends and family around him.
the ones he told me about countless times.
somewhere over the years he watched me with his blue eyes grow up and i watched him look the same.
my saviors name was Taehyung.
Tae was a fish folk, a merman.
he was the ideal fairy-tail into reality.
his tail was beautiful, the color of passion, deep purple and blue.
his face looked to perfect and he seemed to have no imperfections no matter how hard i looked.
from the tip of his strong tail to the tips of his finned ears.
i found out that i was the only adult Tae talked to. all others forgot the moment they heard his oldest friends voice.
but Jin allowed me to remember him, remember them, even though i’d never seen another like Tae.
startled i moved backwards as something brushed my legs.
i calmed myself after seeing scales under the surface of the water the same deep purple blue i was used to.
I looked behind me to spot those same blue eyes peeking out from under the water, deep brown hair with flecks of green floating around him.
his mouth come up to smile at me, laughs leaving him.
“humans sleep during this time y/n, well most do.”
i smiled back and moved to him, my sleepwear was soaked but he welcomed my into his arms.
“i’m not like most humans Tae, not when i have someone like you in my life!”
he laughed again, this time i could feel it.
it wasn’t the only thing i could feel. his tail was solid against my thighs between them. a habit i never grew out of it seemed. both my thighs rested above his hip fins, they treading water under me.
i was so afraid of the water but i trusted Tae to keep me above the surface.
“will you let me this time?”
i moved my head off his shoulder to look into his eyes.
“your friends would be sleeping Tae, it would be a waste to go now.”
it was an excuse and we both knew it.
that day Tae saved me was the day i became unlike any other human.
he gave me the ability all sirens can give only once.
a gift i was afraid to use, though he offered every time we came together.
Tae couldn’t keep my tiny body above the water that night.
the waves to strong and the sea to dangerous.
but he didn’t give up on me either.
he pressed his mouth to mine and filled my lungs with the water that gave him life.
in doing so the magic in his very breath changed my way of breathing.
if i really wanted to i could live under the water.
finish the process and become like them.
he changed me without my consent and i knew that was the reason i could never be to far from the ocean.
my lungs betrayed me and wished to be filled with salty water.
showers were long and later in life i had a large tub installed to truely safely test my limits, yet i was still afraid.
i didn’t fear Tae or his friends but the blackness that swallowed me once already over and over. as the years past i was running out of excuses to not go.
i didn’t even truely remember why i was opposed to the idea.
“its almost sun rise y/n. how about then?”
my eyes didn’t leave his. he never asked more then once at a time.
my eyebrows drew together in inquiry.
“Tae-”
“i wont let you go y/n, not ever! it wont be painful! Namjoon hyung asked the other mers and a friends of his has a mate that used to be human!”
“okay Tae.”
“it takes 24 hours, thats what he thinks and i want you to meet-wait...you said yes?!”
“yes Tae.”
“you wont regret this!”
are eyes broke contact but only because he was smiling so hard his eyes closed in joy. he hugged me and i hung on tighter then before.
we waited until the sun fully rose the sky changing pinks and purples to a pure blue that seemed cloudless today but just as never ending as the water we were in.
i never grew cold, Tae was far to bright, warm and happy clinging to me.
he didn’t talk, i think he was afraid if he said anything more i’d change my mind.
when it came time he looked to me, his rectangle smile shinning and i knew he was asking if i was ready.
with his blue eyes connected to mine i took a deep breath and tightened my grip around his neck and with that we were going under.
my eyes had closed from the waves and i didn’t dare open them.
when i felt my lungs begin to struggle so did i.
Tae calmed me with his hands, mine trying to claw away at him and the water.
my eyes opened and i saw the bubbles of my breath leaving me but i also saw those same blue eyes.
all at once i stopped the thrashing and stilled.
my lungs sucked in and i felt the burn.
but through it all my eyes never left his.
my body remembered this, it wasn’t so bad.
colors behind Tae had my eyes wondering to the background.
we were deep and behind Tae i met pink eyes and then green.
he didn’t let me go but our grip loosened. he held my hand as my other hand met two other fish folks webbed fingers touching mine.
this was his world? his friends?
i couldn't understand what they were saying yet, my transformation hadn’t fully started but i knew when our eyes met again that any place with Tae was home.
i had missed this, maybe i needed to listen to my lungs along with my heart this whole time.
i was home.

@hopestallion encouraged me so i tried!
Natsu challenges Gray to a battle and manages to destroy half of a town so Team Natsu has to work at a pokemon center to pay off some of the repair bills, and Lucy’s rent of course.
— spiritwolfsong
Lucy is grumbling at the counter. "I can't believe you two IDIOTS got us in trouble again."
Happy took one glance at her before turning to Natsu "Lucy's scary again.."
"I HEARD THAT!" Lucy turned abrubtly, her eyes glowing red and the washcloth is her hand poised like a weapon. Natsu, Gray, and Happy all took one large step back.
"It's flame-brains fault." Gray crossed his arms, continuing to "watch" the nursery pokemon, but was instead going through his pokedex.
"No it's not! Your freaking Glaceon froze half the village! Your lucky my charizard was able to melt it before anyone died in there." He stuck out his chest a little more now, wallowing in his pride.
"Ya, causing the other half of the village to be flooded." Gray said snarkling, his brow obviously furrowing.
"Humph" Natsu said furiously as he washed the tables twice as fast and as hard now. "At least people can swim out of it!"
"Shut up Flame brain!" Gray said, turning towards him and ripping off his shirt.
"No! You Shut up Ice-dick!" Natsu retarded, his eyes burning with scarlet flames.
"SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU." Lucy yelled as she slammed her fist on to the table, followed by complete silence. "Thank you, now I have some work to do and some money to earn." Turning to both of them "And put your shirt back on, Gray! Theres kids here!"
“What…?” Castiel said in nearly a whisper, he breathed out the words sharply. He felt immediately as though someone had kicked in in the stomach—all of his air was gone, and he felt like chocking.
Dean fidgeted uncomfortably. “I’m sorry Cas…” He looked down at his feet and swallowed hard.
There was only silence. For five heartbeats no one spoke.
“Meg.” Cas repeated slowly
“Cas, we knew you needed to know.” Sam said quickly
Cas looked up, his eyes were squinted and his jaw was clenched. “I did…I did need to know.” He agreed with an edge in his voice “I needed to know two years ago when she died.”
The sudden shaking in his voice surprised both Sam and Dean. They both knew that Meg and Cas had had a complicated relationship, but his response seemed like an overreaction.
“How.” Castiel demanded, not a question but an order.
“Crowley,” Dean said “He got her with the knife.”
“And you were there, Sam?
“Yeah Cas, I was.” Sam admitted
“Before she-” he couldn’t complete the sentence “Did she say or do anything…?”
Sam understood. “Yeah, it was after I told her about my time with Amelia. She had said that Amelia was my unicorn because she got me away from hunting.”
Cas nodded, pleading for Sam to continue.
“She asked me to say good bye to her unicorn.”
Cas’s eyes opened with realization. Unicorn.
He sighed heavily, and had to lean against a counter top for support.
“Cas…you’ve got to believe me, if I’d known that would care this much…” Dean’s voice trailed off
Cas nodded, he knew that Sam and Dean would never hurt him. They rarely lied to him, and he heard a solemn ring of truth in their words. But he needed to be alone, if even for a few moments.
He excused himself, and slowly walked down one of the bunkers many hallways. He found an empty room on his left, and went inside. He shut the door and slumped down onto the ground.
He sat silently staring at a blank wall. His eyes drifted over to where a devil trap was painted onto the floor. He used his blade to rub away the marks and symbols. He didn’t know why but the thought that if the traps were gone then maybe she would find her way back to him made him feel better.
He exhaled and stood. His shoulders were slumped forward in depression. He turned to leave, wishing somewhere deep down that could cry. He knew that he couldn’t, but he also knew that he would feel better if he could.
As he twisted and his eyes widened, he saw the most unbelievable thing.
