You “would have” contacted them privately but didn’t. Next time try having a conversation like an adult instead of participating in this “callout” trend tumblr seems so fond of. Especially if your intent is to try to teach someone something.

does she have any talents outside of magic? hobbies? how did she get into them?

NICOLA + TALENTS   

despite being raised in the magic community, there are many things that nicola does enjoy outside of that. things that give her a sense of normalcy in the midst of such a chaotic life in the french quarter and in the midst of supernatural mishaps. outside of her magical abilities, she is a writer. she prides herself in writing short stories and poetry ; keeping them all in an old leather notebook that she carries in her backpack. she enjoys sitting on rooftops at night watching the stars, finding the silence a good opportunity for self reflection and a perfect time to write. she picked up writing while she was in school from creative writing classes ; with the mentoring and influence of her teacher who had always urged her to pursue things that brought her happiness. 

nicola also enjoys travelling and places that are rich in history & culture. she’s always been moved by the stories of others and art that hangs in museums. 

she’s also very into nature, a lot of this comes with her abilities as a witch. a closeness to the earth and all of it’s creatures. she loves flowers - even the ones that people deem pointless. she remembers as a child picking dandelions and sticking them in her hair or presenting them to friends and crushes as a sign of good faith.

DEATH AND DECAY, REAP THOSE THAT HIDE IN THE SHADOWS   ;    reap the ones that still refuse to acknowledge the chaos that lives in the very core of their existence.   the very guilt that they hide in the closet under sunday’s best - under clothes that make an image.    you, destroyer of said image - wearing skin as a suit. forcing humans to see red, to see the worst of themselves before submitting themselves to an eternity of hellfire.   he is no different, bully turned soft.   how you were still determined to crack the fragility of his ego.  crack the facade that you’re so sure he wore like the very body you donned.

whats her style like? whats her casual day to day include? does she have any influences? anything she can always be found wearing or with?

NICOLA + AESTHETICS. 

high heels? forget that. not her thing at all! nicola can be seen rocking almost anything that she can get her fingers on from vintage shops - this includes old style military boots, black flats or little black sneakers. black shoes are her staple, considering she feels that it goes with any outfit - making it easy to dress and prepare for the day. at all times she’s carrying a vintage style jansport backpack that’s been customized with little pins and patches that she’s purchased from small shops within the core of new orleans. she prefers to shop local, to support the local business owners. 

outfit wise, she is a fan of high waisted shorts, oversized sweaters and cardigans, slouchy style hats, jean vests, bomber jackets and leather jackets. she loves tight black jeans and the occasional vintage style dress! anything that you can find at a thrift store? she’s all about that. the one thing that remains a staple in her wardrobe is a locket necklace gifted to her by her mother. 

a casual day in her life can be rather simple - depending on what is happening she’s keen on spending most of her free time volunteering with community groups, sitting in coffee shops with a book or practicing some new spells. on other days, she’s working with younger witches to assist them on harnessing their abilities and teaching them to use them for good. 

nicola also attends meetings every so often with the leaders of all the factions ( the witches, vampires, werewolves and the humans ) to ensure that peace is maintained at all times and that there are no issues.

“ DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING? ”    tone casts judgement that mirrors that of narrowed eyes behind glass frames. an air of protection for your own best friend was something that you carried always, a duty that was not taken lightly.  shoulders squared, head titled - you’ve got yourself trained on him as if he were prey caught in a trap.

EMOTIONS, COMPLICATED AND MESSY  ;    you knew well enough how hard it was to feel.  how it was to feel things too much and too heavily.  you could do nothing else but that. how could you not express them? express the ways that someone had made your heart flutter and cheeks burn ; express the ways that life too often had a way of delivering you pain when you had so often sought joy. even now, boy of your dreams situated before you and you could only help but frown. 

         “ that’s no way to live, you know. you’ll just miss out on things. ” like you. perhaps he’d miss out on you.  lips purse, shoulders slump as fingers clench. you do whatever you can to maintain composure.  “ i won’t lie - i like you but holding in your feelings is a good way to lose the good things. ”
