Do any stage managers have advice for people who are just starting that role? It's my first year of being one and I'm just worried I'll be bad at it.

One act started today!!! I am stage manger with 6 other tech people. A lot. For my school. I am excited. Thinking of having some people just be sort of understudies/assistants to the more trained people. Something like that. Problem is only me and my girlfriend who have done tech before. And she's done it for one year. So ummm. Yeah. I am willing to recieve advice on this. Its gonna be so fun.

A short play I wrote on a whim.
After the death of his sister, 16 year old Ezra’s family moves to Maine for a fresh start. While his parents unpack and get the new house set up, Ezra spends the week on a tiny island off the coast with his eccentric Aunt Josephine. The house is also inhabited by a quintet of ghosts, all with unfinished business and love left to give. While helping them move on, Ezra confronts his own grief and learns a meaningful lesson about the value of his own life.
I would like to include content warnings for talk of death, suicide, and war, though it all ends happily.
