Today was an AWESOME day! Meeting up with my artistic muse Lindsay Wagner in Palm Springs was a great, special and awesome experience! Luckily my wife Emma was along and Lindsay signed my latest drawing of her as well as my Repainted Tonner Doll that I did of her! Lindsay is warm, funny and as kind as you would think! It is far from perfect but I think it's pretty cute and when it's in the background of a picture and not the main focus i think it'll look even better.
Ok so this is the order it went...I did use sticks from the cake decorating section so i didn’t have to cut/file my own down. I think they were the perfect height...
I did find the extra frame I had...I just have to print out the pic to go in it.
i had the couch against the other wall but it took up the entire space and I couldn’t place the side tables next to it.
The ‘wallpaper’ fabric hung from a rod just like my other rooms have been. I kinda want to make a wall section (like the brick wall in the kitchen) but floral with lots of red.
Idk right now I don’t really care for it. Is it too crowded? Does the desk and trunks clash? What does it need? I want to like it as much as I love my kitchen. I guess I’ll just keep redoing this room until I like it. I’m open to suggestions...
(that phonograph is actually for your cell phone but I put the target brand ag record player on it and I think it’s super cute...but I could actually put my phone in there and play music)
Patterns were on sale again. I found this one that looks like glitter girls. I used the tank top pattern and the shorts part of the short overalls but added a waistband. The cardigan i made is new too, but I used a tonner pattern for that. They fit just like the glitter girls clothes. I made no other alterations to the patterns. Tank top is exactly as the instructions say.
(Cardigan and tank top are made from new fabric too. The tank top fabric is a little harder to work with but I really like the print.)
Okay so here are the zuru 5 surprise mini brands. I think they look more to scale for my tonner doll (1/4 scale) but I don’t think they look terrible for barbie, I would just say they seem more like bulk products(1/6 scale) (this one is a snow white head on a pale curvy mtm barbie body)
I started my bathroom renovations!
I had the toilet done first but I did add a handle to it.
The shower portion in just a trifold cut to size with added tile that came with a sticky back and painted in the margins to look like cement. The floor of it is just something I found at a craft store. It’s like a tiny mat made of small black pebbles.
The vanity is made mostly of foam board. The counter top was painted like Froggy does in her marble videos. The vanity is assembled similar to her video to where she tries to recreate the shaving kens vanity/sink....only I didn’t want to spend hours cutting out lots of squares of cardboard so I cheated and used foam board. I even used her sock idea for the towels (for now)
*I talked to someone on ig who said she has a lot of the paperclip sinks and she said that they are def 1/6 scale...she didn’t think they’d work for my scale so I made my own.*
