Liv's face paint is inspired by the ancient Aztec legend of the "Cempasuchil and the Hummingbird"

Julianna's face paint is inspired by the monarch butterfly, which represents the souls of ancestors coming back to visit their families during Día De Los Muertos

Lola's face paint is inspired by the "Calaveritas de Azucar" (Sugar Skulls), a welcomed gesture for loved ones visiting the "Land Of The Living", representing the "Earth" element of the Ofrenda

And Dani's face paint is inspired by the flaming heart (usually found on top of nichos), a religious folk charm representing Milagros (Miracles) used to celebrate departed loved ones
