Trafalgar Law Fun Fact #5
At 26 years old, Law is the youngest individual known to ever hold a position as one of the Shichibukai. He is also credited of being the mastermind of the Rocky Port Incident (though little is known of it at the moment), showing his high degree of intelligence and strategy.
Faye amazes me with how smart she.
A while back I started teaching her to jump up on my leg when I scratch at my left arm. It's something I do when particularly anxious and often escalates to scratching myself elsewhere/harder. I figured it was the precursor/indicator to my "full blown" anxiety attacks.
About two months ago she started doing it before I started scratching. It was always when I was tapping the upper left side of my chest. I thought she was confusing it for the arm scratching. I tried training to help her distinguish similar motions and actually scratching. She ignored other gestures but persisted jumping up when I tapped my chest.
I decided to take stock of myself when it happened. Turns out that is what I do before I start scratching.
She figured out that I wanted her to interrupt overly anxious behavior, recognized the tapping as the first indication of that, and applied the trained response to it.
Mind blown. I love this dog so much.
