im afraid it's not a badass post apocalyptic action movie, and what i meant was that the themes were similar!

as in, capitalism bad and the small people will get crushed by the big people unless they revolt. which does happen in the french one, in a way, but it's not as, uh, explosive as Mad Max

the movie is La Loi Du Marché and honestly while i'm very happy to have watched it i wouldn't see it a second time. it follows a father who gets laid off and tries to find a new job while dealing with his personal life & money problems

it's a good movie, honest, and i do recommend it, but it's so real and realistic... a lot of the situations were situations i was in myself at the time, like the useless pôle emploi meetings and selling a house to someone who tries to bargain the price down and the feeling powerless in the face of day to day injustice...

it's probably not as bad as i remember it (it IS from 2015 and i am known for my awful memory around my Bad Brain Periods) but mmfr felt WAY more empowering than la loi du marché to my sad depressed self 😂😂😂

anyway it's not The Same Movie per se but my mother and i had a debate that ended on yeah thats basically the same story except hers was depressing and mine had a dude with a flamethrower electric guitar in it

I’m seeing a lot of people being concerned for the Italian Con and telling people to not go to their hotel, but let’s be honest here, we all know this is not going to happen. People will continue to go to their hotels and wait for them, which I kinda get it because those conventions can be really expensive and not everyone can pay for it, so they see this as their only chance to meet and talk to them. 

My point is, this is not going to stop happening, so for those going to the hotels or airports to wait for them please wait until they come talk to you! Don’t scream for them, remain calm. If they’re going somewhere let them go, don’t chase their car or anything. Let them feel comfortable and safe to come and talk to the fans, because they will! The cast is so lovely and they truly like talking to fans, but you need to keep in mind that they are not there to serve us! So please be respectful.
