One would think Cassie would’ve met everyone before coming to Smackdown. After all, she’d been up and around the main roster, and everyone was there for Wrestlemania, but with all the chaos she wasn’t able to meet one of the people she’d been wanting to meet. The beautiful Riley Rose, the interviewer for Smackdown. Yeah, okay, Jess was right when she would tease Cass over her little crush on Riley, but could she help it? No, not at all. Honestly, she’s just hoping that she’ll finally be able to get to meet Riley tonight. 

She’s still giddy with the adrenaline running through her body after being on SD!Live for the first time and now she’s casually scrolling through the comments on Twitter, a huge grin on her face as she’s walking. She should’ve been paying attention of course, because the next thing she knows, she’s walking right into someone’s back. Thankfully it’s not enough to hurt anyone, but it’s enough to startle her. “Oh!” Cassie’s gasping, and then freezes when her eyes land on Riley. This was not the best way to make a first impression, she knows, and she’s flushing a bit, locking her phone and putting it into her pocket. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention. Are you okay? I didn’t hurt you, did I?” They’re both standing upright, so she hopes not, but still. She feels bad enough.

Angel approached the diner in the hub between dirt roads, a path that the brunette man had familiarized himself with since the moment he was able to put his hands on a steering wheel at the tender age of sixteen—leaving the toxic environment he’d grown accustomed to, only to fall into the arms of another unpredictable lifestyle. His dreamy condition of loneliness in the desert heat to be stopped with the doo-wop music and chilled air of the sixties-style diner. He scanned the space, only to find himself being the only customer. The male proceeded to take a seat in one of the red leather booths, one hand holding a menu and the other tapping against the granite table–a habit he picked up as a child and seemed endless in its patterns throughout the years. The pitter patter of feet and small conversation sounded throughout the room after minutes of silence, as if the room was being brought to life with the help of a single person. looking up, his viridescent hues became fixated on a petite brunette girl appearing from the doors of the kitchen only to disappear moments later, leaving Angel in pure silence and utter astonishment.

Stayin’ Alive

Sometimes, Saraphine thought she couldn’t possibly miss anything the way she missed her mom’s cooking. It was the end of the world and there was a rebellion to be organized and alien butt to be kicked: she understood and even appreciated these facts. But sometimes, god, even the thought of a bowl of steaming hot mashed potatoes that tasted like butter and garlic and love left an acute ache for Mom and home in her.

It was inconvenient, if nothing else, especially when these thoughts came in the middle of the night when she was supposed to be keeping watch, not fantasizing about the midnight snack she would have snuck had it not been for the frankly rude alien invasion. She was meant to be holding on to her rifle and watching out for suspicious activity. That was her world now. Fantasies about food didn’t belong in it anymore.

Still, her mind did wander. It was why the rustle of leaves behind her made her bolt up, rifle at the ready, to aim at the emerging intruder. It was only when she saw his face between the cross-hairs that she realized who it was, and then, she released a shallow breath of annoyance between her teeth. The new kid. Wonderful. There was something so disconcerting about him, this skinny little shit surviving on his own in the wilderness, and he may have had the adults convinced, but she certainly wasn’t falling for the act.

Annoyed, therefore, she lowered her weapon but instead replaced it with a dark glower and a sharp tone. “Nicholas. Can I help you?”

the week might have just started, but for someone on the last year of college -- and supposedly, the first years of your real life -- all one could ask for was the weekend as they bury themselves in work. in yeeun’s case, it was both papers and the music set by the corner of her room, and by some reason, the blue-haired female was feeling too stuffy to deal with any of those, as much as she tried.

on the other side, in junho’s case it was football practice and his girlfriend was not surprised he wouldn’t skip it and would stay even later than the others--that has become something usual now, and yeeun doesn’t quite understand it. at first -- the very beginning, when they were nothing more than newbies at college with each of their opposite scholarships and personalities -- she thought it was endearing the man took so much time off from an actual life to run around after a ball, but after years, she has understood he only does that so they’ll get to meet up once there’s no one roaming the halls.

and maybe it’s because she’s getting old and even more boring, but the secrecy has lost much of its taste for yeeun. she’s fine with the long nights and everything, but maybe hanging out and actually saying ‘hey, i have a very strong and gorgeous boyfriend and i’m not turning you down because you’re an asshole’ would be nice from time to time. 

the blue-haired lets out a short sigh as the doorbell is rung, and with a kick all the half-finished papers in her bed go flying before the female is at her feet and being dragged by them to the door. “mm?” it’s yeeun’s response as she opens the door but just enough to be seen and not to let her boyfriend go in, not yet. “did you get the wrong room, champ?”
