“The Voyage Out” (c)
I’m starting a new mini series where I showcase some of my favorite TS3 worlds & their creators! To start off the series, I decided to showcase one of my all time favorites: Pleasant Isle created by the wonderful @one-plumbbob! ♥

I don't think it's that big of an issue. :)

I wouldn't mind that stripe at all :)
Aww, thanks. I’ve tried so many different things to get rid of it but I’m guessing it has something to do with the chunk boundary running down the middle. Why it’s only causing a stripe there is beyond me. I’m just such a perfectionist!
This is why Seasons should have been/should be in the future, one of the earlier released EPs. It affects so many different things and, with it released so late, EA never bothered to look into the bugs and glitches it caused. Actually, who am I kidding? Pretty sure there are some glitches still out there from WA and AMB. Silly me. /end rant

Is there anything wrong with leaving those empty lots? Do they significantly increase the world size of performance?
Obviously the more lots you have, the more families you have in town, and more sims means more resource heavy. Same with community lots: more registers and bars, etc mean more places to spawn NPC workers. My computer is pretty decent and I can run large worlds without an issue. But a lot of lots, combined with the number of trees I’ve placed, could pose a potential problem for players. Granted, I’m not making it for everyone since I’m using stuff from most, if not all EPs but I’d still like it to be as free of bugs and lag as possible.
I’m hoping the fact that the back third of the map is unroutable and a lot of the forest will be as well will help with some of that.
Spending the summer on Pleasant Isle
Decorating The Lemonade by one-plumbbob is so fun.
Heaven's House to Sims Replies

Can I just come and move in? Those windows! THAT VIEW! I'm so jealous. If you do make it for Sims, Viv and Frankie are moving there. I will live through them ;)
The windows are amazing! They're one of my favorite things about the house. And the view will be much better once we finish cleaning up the property. A lot of the brush behind the house is actually part of our lot so we're going to clear it and fence it in and have a big backyard! And yes! Viv and Frankie can certainly live there. Though it's rather small for two famous movie stars. :)

About the arch: I'd suggest splitting the arch into several objects (like e.g. cyclonesue's never-ending arch set) but adding two end pieces that are only half a tile wide :)
Oh, that's a good idea. Something to figure out but probably easier than a never-ending hunt to find the right size object to clone.

Ugh. We bought a condo instead of a house, and I've spent the last couple of years trying to even things out. Things are finally getting how I like them but it's so hard since we need HOA approval for EVERYTHING. I can't WAIT to have an actual HOUSE.
I understand completely. We've been renting since we got married back in 2008. HOAs were a huge turn off for us, exactly for that reason. If we bought a house, we wanted to be able to do what we wanted without restrictions and permits (other than the legal ones) and a committee to eagle-eye you. I feel like HOAs are the worst - it's like renting without the benefit of having a landlord to fix stuff for you when it needs it. LOL! I'll probably miss renting for some things (we have to replace the hot water heater, roofing, and HVAC units all within a year or two). Hopefully your HOA is not too restrictive and Stepford-y!

I will most definitely decorate it. :)
Yay! Now I just need to get past the block of foundation it is now. :P

I thought they were there from the beginning, but I could be confusing them with the double beds that have the same textures. They might have snuck them into an update like they did the door recolors!

I definitely have the mint one as it was on a double bed I downloaded from the gallery that had no CC - so it must've come with an update :)

Yes, they were definitely there for the double bed. My game is open and I just checked, I have those too and I haven't downloaded any recolors of that bed.

I didn't notice any of these in my game either.. So I would guess it's CC :D
Wow you guys are quick with the replies; thanks! I definitely remember seeing these options on the double bed, but I could have sworn that the single bed didn't have them. Oh well, they're quite nice and usable so I'm glad I'm (re)discovering them now :D

At least my pic still looks good. Just kidding!!! That is weird. Maybe they'll fix it? I never use my phone to post (I have android) so I don't know if its just i-phones that are having that problem.

I was wondering the same thing
It is really bothersome on the app. I thought for sure that they would have noticed it and corrected it pretty quickly, but I don't yet see an update available. Grr.
