"I've come to realize there are really only 3 ways that wisdom is received. 1. For those that are guilty, they take it as judgement. 2. For those looking to grow, they take it as wise council 3. For those walking it out, they receive it as confirmation. Your response will always tell you where you are." The above quote came from a very wise friend of mine, more of a mentor, really, in response to someone who clearly fell into category numero uno. I'd like to add my own thoughts as well. If the truth hurts it's probably because it applies to you and it hits a sore spot. That place where you have the knee jerk reaction "how dare you judge me!", when in reality, whatever you read or heard 99.99% probably wasn't about you, but it hit that spot of guilt that reared its ugly head and lashed out. Accompanying the lashing out usually is character bashing, name calling, a self righteous attitude, trying to justify why you're right and the other person is wrong, etc. Jezebel, be gone! If anyone has read the short book about the Jezebel Spirit by Frances Frangipane, you know what I'm talking about. STOP living in the spirit of offense! It's not doing you any favors. And it's making you look bad. Learn wisdom by realizing ONE: IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU and 2: YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE RIGHT! If something tweaks a sore spot, examine yourself and figure out why. That's an area that needs to be worked on. Get yourself in order before you try to get others in order. There is amazing wisdom aplenty out there to be found. The question is, do you allow it to offend you, or are you looking for personal growth and seek it as wise council? #OneAnd2 #Oneand2KindaWisdom #Oneand2KindaMindset #Wisdom #PersonalGrowth #ByeFelicia #JezebelBeGone #NotTodaySatan #SpiritOfOffense #StopIt #JustStop #WiseUp #GrowUp #IfTheTruthHurtsMaybeItAppliesToYou #SoreSpot #EverythingYouDoMatters #EverythingYouDoNotDoMatters #LiveALifeYouWontRegret #SeekWisdom #BeWise #WhichNumberAreYou #DontBeA1 #ItsNotAboutMe #IDontHaveToBeRight #ThankYouRobbie
