So, every year this pops up in my memories and every year I repost it because it's just good wisdom! ❤️Who told you not to love you, too? ❤️ You have to be able to love yourself first before you can truly love anybody else. And that means stepping out of bad relationships/friendships. You can absolutely, positively still be a child of God and not allow people who've hurt you to stay in your life. You must master the art of loving people from a distance. You forgive them, you wish them well, you pray for them, but nowhere are you required to keep giving time and attention to people that abuse and mistreat you. So many people believe forgiveness means accepting cheating/mistreatment. They think their forgiveness and willingness to stay in a bad or potentially harmful situation shows their love! LIES! Nothing but lies from the enemy to keep you bound. Forgive, but let them go. Here's the truth about love. Love doesn't disrespect you. Love doesn't make you compromise your values and beliefs. Love doesn't continually lie to you. Love doesn't make you feel worthless. Love doesn't use words to beat you down. Love doesn't belittle you. Love doesn't intentionally make you feel guilty. Love doesn't sneak around on you. Love doesn't manipulate you. Love doesn't deliberately hide things from you. Love doesn't hurt you - physically, mentally, verbally or emotionally. That's not love, it's abuse. #WisdomWednesday #LoveDoesnt #MaybeHeDoesntHitYou #Forgiveness #LoveYourselfToo #HealthyRelationships #ItsOkToWalkAway #RespectYourself #BeStrong #TalkToSomeone #ByeFelicia #ByeFelipe #LoveIS #KnowWhoNeedsToGo #LiveALifeYouWontRegret #EverythingYouDoMatters #EverythingYouDoNotDoMatters
