Garde Aesthetic: Five
Are those displays broken or is the stain a normal thing? If this thing has a name, what is it called? Are these all the wrong questions?
[[This post was originally submitted by my enigmatic associate @oneeyedloric (consider checking out their blog if you're a fan of the Lorien Legacies), but I accidentally deleted the submission.]]
No I will not.

"Yeah, it’d be much easier for you to give in rather than have to listen to stuff like this, right? *evil grin* On another note, this is the quote from the book: I’m zoning out, trying to think up a way to test what the charm does without hurting myself, when a noise starts playing in the room. It sounds almost exactly like a smoke alarm. At first it’s like a ringing in my ears, but seconds later it’s amplified enough that it drowns out my thoughts. I cover my ears, but the sound only gets louder. It’s coming through the walls from every direction at once. ‘Turn it off!’ I yell to the Mogs I’m sure are watching me. In response, the volume increases. My head feels like it might split open. I stumble away from the wall and the volume immediately lowers from a deafening shriek to a piercing whistle. When I take another step towards the Great Book, the volume drops another fraction. I get the hint. When I finally open up the book, the noise drops to an annoying buzz. So that’s how Setrákus Ra intends to ‘educate’ me – by making it so the only peace I can find is literally in the pages of his Mogadorian encyclopedia. Maybe I should try to make the most of this. There might be some information I can use against him in Setrákus Ra’s painfully boring book. It can’t hurt to skim a little. There’s no way I’ll ever believe any of the lies on these pages. The ringing cuts off entirely when I start to read the first page. Even though I resent it, I can’t help but let out a little sigh of relief.' That response is a complete cave-in to buzz-torture. Simple noise-conditioning to saying “I do” for specific stimuli will work very well on you.”
^ That was a book, not a life commitment. You underestimate my willpower, which is simply you being delusional.
I'm on my tags for The Fall of Five and DEAR LORD
It looks like I have never hated anyone in my life as much as I do Five (sorta true) BUT IF YOU SEE WHAT I'VE WRITTEN YOU'LL THINK THAT I WANTED TO TEAR HIM LIMB FROM LIMB AND DANCE AROUND HIS PYRE NAKED OH MY GOD I AM LAUGHING SO HARD WHAT THE FUCK DID THAT BOOK DO TO ME
I need to tell you all now and here because I know I will not bear to look at you in the face when you know.
I've decided to join Sétrakus Ra. Five was right. We are not going to win and I can't resist more deaths of people I love. Maybe on his side I will stop them from killing you and I only hope you do the same as me. It's our only chance of survival.
I know some of you might not understand but I know this is the best thing to do.
With all my love,
Marina.
oneeyedloric reblogged your post oneeyedloric replied to your post: um ... and added:
He has this on his website (which hasn’t been updated in 2 years according to tumblr): Greg Boose is a writer and editor living in Los Angeles. Over the last couple years, he has ghostwritten two YA novels that hit the New York Times best seller list. I understand he is not allowed to say outright that he is the author, but he does link to this page: http://io9.com/5936321/is-this-the-new-author-of-the-i-am-number-four-sequels which offers some proof , including a deleted tweet of the Rise of Nine cover by him. Do a search for “greg boose pittacus lore” , you’ll get some more articles. He apparently joined before TPOS, after Jobie Hughes was forced out. Unless he was forced out too, and there’s a new ghost-writer who is more careful than Greg.
ugh
this is getting more and more depressing
oneeyedloric replied to your post: um hey guys i know that in the past bo...
