Community resources needed in the US--One Heartland Project
I'm currently in Vietnam right now doing an EAP program! I wanted to tell you about a charity project I'm doing in Vietnam with the UC students and the Hanoi University students.
We're raising money to buy jackets for children in the Nghe An Provence in Vietnam. Nghe An is a mountainous region and it gets really cold in the winter. Children tend to drop out of school because it is too cold to walk to school and sit in a cold classroom.
One Heartland, the charity organization that I'm working with, is a joint project created by UC students and Hanoi University students two years ago (more info http://www.oneheartlandvietnam.com).
Last year, they raised $5,000 to buy warm jackets and even a electricity generator for the village.
Today, the UC students, including me, are calling (fb for me because i don't know have international calling) our friends and family back in the US to ask you all for help.
Any amount helps, even 5 US dollars goes a long way in Vietnam. $10 is like food for one week for me..
with...
$15 = one warm jacket
$25 = one year tuition for a middle school student
$800 = one electricity generator for the village
You can donate as much as you want and as much as you can!

Please let me know how much you decided to donate so we can keep a record. Thank you!
