So ages ago, I remember a tumblr post recommending OneLook.com for writing because you can search whole phrases as well as individual words to get synonyms and definitions.

But I'm finding it less and less useful (probably because of AI) because I swear half the suggestions are not real words. Tonight I was running out of ways to say scowl/glower/glare/frown and here's what it suggested as alternatives when I searched 'glower':

I don't think a pout really quite hits the same tone as a glower, but sure at least that's a word. I don't know if glaum is a word but ok...

what the hell is a girn? and why is it suddenly suggesting the antonym 'grin' in the middle of this list? WHAT THE FUCK DOES FLIGGER MEAN?

i wanna be able to search "*æþ???" or "C*æþAAA" and get like "mathematics" and "bathtub liquor" or smth

and implement rhymezone'a close rhyme feature for consonants and vowels separately

This is why all writers need OneLook. Because we’re dumbasses that forget the phrase “conveyer belt” when trying to describe something in a book and can only think “that thing at grocery store checkouts that’s like a moving sidewalk but for food.” Better than your regular thesaurus.
