One minute course in herbal medicine. Ten very accessible, very safe and very versatile herbs, together with a brief description of some of their most frequently-encountered indications, all on one 3x5 index card. The back of the card is a certificate of completion signed by me, your instructor. I figure there are already herbal courses out there that only take weeks or months to complete, why not one that only takes a minute?😁 . . . In all seriousness, i had this idea while i was writing, in a book that i’m working on, about how the learning of herbal healing is essentially endless (way more than a lifetime’s work), but that even the smallest amount of learning can make a difference. And there are traditional healers who only use one herb or formula, and others who only use a handful (which was common in the Appalachian community i grew up in). If someone only knew these herbs, and worked with them and developed a relationship with them, they could do a lot of good, even if they didn’t expand beyond this set of remedies. . . In my own practice i have a couple hundred plants whose medicine i use on a pretty regular basis, and several hundred more that i use less frequently.
