Khiva is located in Uzbekistan's north west and was a trading hub, especially for slaves, during the silk road era. Had a great private guided tour of the old city, climbed a minaret, resisted the temptation to eat plov served in the streets, visited a few ancient madrassas and walked the mud walls of the old town.
