💪🏼Anatomical Push Ups💪🏼 ••• Do you struggle with shoulder pain or ugly chicken 🐔 wings?! ••• If so, you may need to take a step back and reevaluate your pushing mechanics. ••• In my opinion, the push up is a highly underrated movement. This is how we develop the pushing mechanics that transfer over to so many other skills: handstand push ups 🤸🏼♀️muscle ups 💪🏼 pressing a barbell overhead 🏋🏼♀️ etc. ••• This is one of my favorite drills to reinforce proper pushing mechanics. It forces you to lean forward and initiate the movement with your shoulders, using them as the prime mover as opposed to your elbows. It also forces you to maintain vertical forearms which allows you to adequately apply force through the ground.
