Choujinposting, Yonaposting: The Suspense Is Killing Me

So...

my two favorite (ongoing) mangas, Yona of the Dawn and Choujin X, are both posting pivotally important chapters in the next day. And guys, the suspense is killing me. I HAVE TO KNOW.

SPOILERS BELOW:

Yona is about to be taken away into the heavens forever by the dragon gods, had one last chance to see her friends, and apparently HAK PROPOSED??!!??? AAAAAAHHHHHH I have to see this in English now.

Tokio Kurohara just talk-no-jutsu'd the big boss and is now about to take the Mark of the Beast to prevent the apocalypse (supposedly) ... but there are like 3 people who are about to challenge him, and potentially bring on said apocalypse.

Guys I can't. I literally can't.

Review: Although there have only been a few chapters of this posted, I’m already loving this series. I have read the author’s other work Waiting for Spring and I liked the beginning of it but I ended up liking the second male lead more than I liked the first male lead so I dropped it. However, I really liked this one when I read it. I liked how it didn’t take place in high school, considering the fact that literally every shoujo manga out there takes place in high school. I also love how the romance is a slow burn.

The art is also very well done and I love the leads’ character design a lot as well. I don’t really have anything antagonistic to say about this because there’s only a few chapters out so far. But I would recommend this to people who enjoyed Waiting for Spring (also called Harumatsu Bokura).

Notes: My third post! I’m going to try and post more frequently. I just keep forgetting because all of my summer extracurriculars. Unlike my last post I posted a longer review this time. I hope you enjoy reading this manga (even though there’s like only two chapters released in English). I’m going to try to post more regularly and not only on the weekends.

Currently ongoing with a total of 39 chapters released so far.

Oh my freaking god, this is adorable! I love, love, love all of the characters, especially the main couple. Their relationship is healthy, fluffy and a joy to experience. Plus that art! Who doesn't love a stacked cast of pretty characters doing adorable things?!

If you're looking for a light, fluffy and pg sort of BL this is the one for you. Nothing racy or adult in nature as of this point and I doubt anything like that would be coming along anytime soon or possibly at all. This one's a slowburn though, the main pair take ages to even admit they have feelings for one another but that, in my opinion is on of the very best aspects of this title. I cannot wait to read more.

Plus, bonus points! I've learned this title will be getting the anime treatment next year which is incredibly exciting. Check it out!!

Nozomanu fushi no boukensha (The unwanted immortal adventurer) Currently has 37 Chapters.

Yo if this gets an anime adaptation i'll be on that shit asap. Summary: Lento is an adventurer that knowns the ins and out of his trade but has no real power or strength to move up in his rank. After dying in a labyrinth he's unwillingly reincarnated into a monster with the skill of "existential evolution." As he begins to get stronger defeating other monsters he evolves and learns more about the world he's worked in for so long. He now has the power to attempt to achieve his previous dream of becoming a high-class ranking adventurer. I think this story has got some serious potential for the future. It's really fun to see what he evolves into and the process he goes through discovering new powers. I feel like this has a lot of what people enjoy in adventure stories but also has enough fantasy to satisfy that feeling of another world. Definitely an enjoyable read. (This is also a light novel but i've been reading the manga) -First volume of the Eng Manga comes out sept 21 2021.

UPDATE - The anime will be debuting JAN 2023
