2024 Summer Anime
Sorry I'm late on this - I'm going back to school for a second degree this fall so it's been chaos Lots to look forward to for this season!!
Oshi No Ko - Season 2 Such a killer series that I think a lot of people have been looking forward to the second season. They did a great job giving us something to look forward to in the story. Must Watch Noteworthy On-Going Shows: Tensura - Season 3 MHA - Season 7 New Seasons:
Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest This series was one of my first "longer" shows and I still love the original series. I know it really fell off with the 2014 reboot and the ecchi scenes were ramped up but I think 100 Year Quest gives it a nice fresh start now that people kind of know what to expect.
Spring 2024 Anime Review
Kaiju No.8 - 12 Episodes I've been a long-time fan of the manga for this series and was so stoked to see it was finally being animated. I think they did a decent job keeping the original art style but some of the scenes fell flat for me. I still love the series, I feel like it gets straight to the point with no bs, you know what the goal is, you know where each of the characters came from and you're just here to enjoy the ride. I'm really looking forward to later episodes with certain characters (Gen). 8/10 - Very Good
Go! Go! Loser Ranger! - 12 Episodes I feel like this series deserves more recognition. The overall story is really great, the animations are solid and the op is a banger. I had a lot of fun with it and will likely check back in for a second season. 8/10 - Very Good
Wind Breaker - 12 Episodes This is what I wanted from Tokyo Revengers without all the time travel stuff. I think this series also has great character design and the story is interesting but quite honestly the pacing felt really slow. I felt like waiting for each episode made it worse. Likely much better if watched in one go. 7.5/10 - Good+ Keeping this to a shorter post this season as I didn't watch many of the B-tier shows (don't come at me). That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 - 12/24 Episodes Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 - 12 Episodes Lumping these two together. Both og isekai series that at this point, if you're watching them, you're committed to the story and the characters. Both were good but felt a little slow story wise. 7/10 - Good My Hero Academia Season 7 - 12/21 Episodes This is where I felt it really picked up in the manga, but with season 6 falling off so hard, I feel like the traction for the series just isn't there anymore except for long time fans. It's a little too bad because I really did enjoy this arc in the manga and it felt like we were headed somewhere near the peak of the series. 7/10 - Good Will cover Delicious in Dungeon in it's own post - link As well as Demon Slayer Season 4 - link
Demon Slayer Season 4 - To the Hashira Training - 7 Episodes We're nearing the end of this series. With likely a season and a movie left before the end, the animations have only gotten better with each release. As a Shinazugawa fan, I was stoked to see him with more screentime this season as well as Genya's features. I think this arc was short and sweet and got to the point of introducing the remaining hashira before we head to the finale. 8.5/10 - Very Good+
Edit - They announced the finale will be a trilogy of movies
Delicious In Dungeon - 24 Episodes This show is peak. I genuinely mean that. This show is nearly entirely character driven, which is quite rare these days. There's also so much representation?! The animation is incredibly fun, and it really feels like the creator is fully immersed in bringing her own world to life. There's all these little tidbits you learn that don't necessarily add value to the main story but make it a little more real. Overall, one of the best fantasy world building series I've seen that's so unserious and incredibly well done. 10/10 - Masterpiece
Sentai Daishikkaku (Go! Go! Loser Ranger!) - OP

Kaiju No.8 Monster Views Illustration Compilation 2
Go! Go! Loser Ranger! - Gojo plays Power Rangers
Wind Breaker - Gojo plays delinquent gang leader This season of Gojo's hobbies outside of being the world's strongest sorcerer is excellent.
