My OC Aeterna Valeria, The Dawnbringer, Cleric

Aeterna was a cleric of Lathander and the Raven queen - (she was polytheistic) saved by both of them out of the nine hells and sent on a quest to do good in the lands of Faerun (she was a demon that woke up to the fact that her people were evil by nature and she started to fight against it - the two gods heard her prayers and decided to help, even if to just stick it to Asmodeus).

She was gifted long life by Lathander and a ring by the Raven Queen that would preserve her memories (a long life comes with lots of memories to keep track of, so basically sanity preservation) and grant her the ability to change her appearance (almost like true polymorph but the ring needs to be attuned to or it loses its effect).

In our campaign she had lost that ring and started to lose her memory, throughout the campaign she eventually learned that one day long ago she grew tired of fighting and kind of resentful towards the gods for sending her on a never-ending quest, so she took off the ring(but keeping it close to her), married a woman in Baldurs gate and stayed there with her until her wife passed away of old age.

A lowly merchant took advantage of her moment of grief and stole her ring when she was at her most vulnerable. Sending her into a spiral of forgetting her life, even her wife and who she truly was.

The only thing that remained was her urge to serve and help. So she went to Neverwinter and became a cleric for the house Dunstad(my other PCs house), and joined the party as my other PC had to return back to attend to her businesses.

Eventually, we found the thief, Aeterna murdered him whilst the party was distracted (the only time her feral, evil nature ever came through), turned his body to ash and scattered it, put on the ring and disappeared into a bustling street never to be seen again.
