B-Team Character Intro: Purah

Purah is stuck. The calamity’s been defeated, and Hyrule can begin to rebuild. But what’s she supposed to do? She spent a century preparing for Link’s return, but all her preparations had to do with combat. She was expecting an outright war, the same as it was in the months leading up to the calamity, but Link defeated Ganon with only the divine beasts behind him.

So now she has all these weapons with no use. The monster forces are few and far between, nothing a few soldiers can’t dispatch. But castle town is still oozing malice; any use these robots could have for reconstruction are halted by the fact that no one can live there. There are plans of an outpost in Hyrule Field, but that’s far in the future.

Purah, luckily, is no longer stuck in the body of a child. Not so luckily, she’s now stuck in the body of a teenager. She’ll perfect the stupid aging rune one day. Maybe Josha can help her? That kid’s promising…

So what is a 120 year old scientist to do but find new problems to fix? As it turns out, she didn’t have to search hard at all to find something big. The Yiga are working to revive Ganon’s first incarnation. They’ve already brought back his weapon, and they’re dangerously close to bringing back more of Destruction (Devastation? Demise?)’s army. With it will come the ruination of Hyrule once more.

Purah won’t let that happen. Link and Zelda deserve peace, and so does the rest of this scattered kingdom. Finally, seems like she has a viable use for that laser-guided missile.
