i havent watched it…,, and if i do im not rlly in a rush to… im sure its not any worse than any other tf show but hm. idk. Idk if its the plot and worldbuilding. or character design. (or what i can tell of at least megatrons characterisation which is so hit or miss for me. and worth saying because all i talk abt here is megatron). and definitely the lingering effects of having to look at fandom tfa megop. to be completely honest. which is just not my Cup of tea. but yeah what ive gathered about it is not interesting to me. i have the tfa tag filtered actually lmao #ihopethisisnotahottakeandnobodykillsme

I really cannot emphasize how much my enjoyment of a character hinges on them dying. If they’re not dead i just find it hard to care. Change can always happen later. Death seals things up. Death makes it so you understand the breadth of them.

This takes place vaguely pre-war in my personal continuity, what will become the Decepticons are emerging as a distinct faction of the collective revolution, and Megatron and Soundwave are forming a bond. Soundwave is on the tail end of emerging from a much more vulnerable period in his life, not quite able yet to fully rise above deeply ingrained insecurities. He’s never been like any other mech, and his failures to connect with others has been a weight on his self esteem for a long time. Megatron has his simultaneously blunt and dismissive way of showing he cares, but being a mind reader Soundwave doesn’t need constant verbal reassurance. He knows Megatron’s spark is true, and that’s all that he needs. All this to say I’m soft for their relationship and unique form of care they show for each other.
