This article I read from the military blaming the media for accurately describing the realities of the military and causing low recruitment has lived rent-free in my head for years. The power of the passive voice is unreal.

“Standard System”, the American says, not realizing, that the whole world around them does it differently.
I do honestly feel betrayed that this election has come down to no choice at all. A literal meme option made it to the final ballot--today at work a surgical tech told me she would protest vote Trump just to piss people off. She didn't care about his policies ("policies") or absolutely anything, just sticking it to "them" because she considered Hillary "filled with evil". She didn't even care that her displeasure would be anonymously registered as approval anyway because all she cared about was her own grudge, not how her vote could affect anyone else. I know the two-party system is garbage, but this is a level beyond garbage. To call it a joke would be an insult to jokes. Just... what an awful year. And the next four aren't looking a hell of a lot better, but can we at least try for the least bad?
i do have problems with obama's actions while president but I firmly believe he's still better than the other options. sarah palin should never be a sneeze away from presidency and romney is a joke
