midnight sun with @onlygaram 2022, yeonhwa grass football pitches

it's a bit different, this date. it's not the usual, not for miyeon at least. people went to coffee shops or arcades on a first date. she's been on many of those, she's lost count. some better than others for sure, but this was a different one.

she didn't think anyone would ever take interest in a sporty date, one out on the pitch with a football. not with garam at least, not that she minds. she likes this, a lot. its different and its fun, and miyeon gets to play a sport she very much is good at an enjoys a lot. she mentions it, regularly, that she like sports, likes basketball and volleyball as well, she is part of the teams, soccer included, but none of the guys she has gone on dates so far at uni have shown any interest. she puts it down to many reasons, mainly they don't want to get their ego hurt.. but she doesn't ever say that out loud.

so yeah, this was different. she'd already slipped once, not bad, but she had grass stuck on her hand from the fall and that has now gotten in her hair, but she is having fun. garam is a great sport, a bit awkward, but miyeon finds it quite charming, very cute. makes her smile just enough where her cheeks start to hurt.

"you're not part of the team are you?" miyeon asks, can't remember actually. it's only been a few months since she starter university and she still struggles to remember everyone's names and clubs and departments- she feels a bit silly to ask, but maybe while garam is ever so slightly distracted by the question she can get past her this time "i think you should join if you haven't already, you're gonna be really good defender."

let's play (volley)ball plot and cast: han garam ( @onlygaram ) and heo yujin enjoying friday of the mt, playing his favorite sport.

there was something in the air that afternoon. maybe it was the excitement running through the students after they made it to the campgrounds and were free for a while after their lunch, maybe it was the volleyball that yujin was tossing excitedly up and down.

he never really got to play the game with people outside of his team; on the rare occasion he did play a sport with his friends, it was more along the lines of basketball—which was fine, but it didn’t compare at all to volleyball for him.

the ball made contact with his hands again, he held it tight in his grip to make sure it wouldn’t tumble away, causing a gentle ‘thump!’ finally glancing at the girl across from him, he grinned brightly in her direction.

him and garam were… actually, he didn’t really know what to describe him and garam. he thought she was cute and fun to be around, they matched each other’s energy pretty well he felt, but… he’s not sure if they were friends or in some weird middle stage after… something, happened.

he still can’t go into the b216 laundry room without his ears getting all red.

(not that he regretted it or that he would mind even continuing being just friends after that! but you know—just something to talk about later!)

“are you ready for me to kick your butt in volleyball?” he cups one hand next to his mouth, calling out to her now like he wasn’t just thinking about the things they did some time ago. for all intents and purposes, they were just two pals hitting a ball around. “do you want me to go over to the rules a bit more or are we just winging it?”

the crowd waiting for the bus was larger than hwaseong remembered it being when they arrived here. though that could be because he was paying no attention while getting on the first time. the post event clarity hit him hard this morning and he was so sure he'd been tame this time around. the headache, cotton mouth, and sore limbs though tell him a different story.

he's about to put in his airpods when he spots someone who looks worse off than him. no hesitation as he crossed the space to be at her side, a hand gently to her elbow to get her attention. "noona? are you feeling okay?" he asks, voice muffled behind the black mask resting over his mouth but his brows are furrowed to show his concern.

he knows it's not really nice to be like 'hey you look bad' so he's kind of hoping she just admits to feeling sick instead of playing strong. his need to make sure the people he cares for are okay would override whatever manners he feels he would be breaking by commenting on her current state.

HOT TO GO! ft. han garam @onlygaram

being awake this early should be illegal. when sera becomes chief justice of supreme court, she’s so outlawing waking up before 8am. 

“ughhhh, unnieeeee, why do we have to do this again?” she complains, shoulders slumped forward as she’s trailing behind garam. it’s almost disturbingly quiet around camp this time of day — sera can’t see anyone from where they find themselves outside the provided housing. it had been a pain to get up and get ready, all while attempting to not wake up their other roommates (she knows garam would forgive her for just about anything, but she can’t be too sure about the others! she barely knows them! and honestly, that agatha zhou lowkey scares her. not that she’d ever admit that). still, she’d managed to end up looking acceptably cute — white sneakers, pink running attire, topped off with a pink scrunchie tying her hair up in a ponytail. 

“where did you want to go again?” sera asks, pausing for a moment to stretch her neck, then stretching her arms up in the air. she’s slowly waking up, and while she might still very much hate the fact that she’s up this early, she’s ready to lock in. no way she’s going to let garam run faster than her! (not that it’s a competition, but come on. she’s track captain — she has to be the fastest person on campus). 

one final stretch of her neck, and she’s moving again, falling into a light jog to catch up to garam. “the lake, right?” she looks over at her best friend, smirking. “wanna bet you can’t beat me there?”
