For the lion slayings, my mother had done all the arrangements for mine without asking me. She had be set up for the lowest setting on the mechanical lion -three levels lower than what my older brother had just managed for his second time.  I bribed the operator to turn the setting up four settings, just so I could beat my brother.

My parents never knew that I had figured out how to sneak out of the house without them ever knowing by the time I was twelve. 

I never did tell my parents everything that happened the day Uncle Raheem died. Like his last words.

When things got south, they were starting to leave the planet on which they were on a diplomatic mission. The inhabitants of the capital had been quite generous and welcoming, but they had warned them about the indigenous specie that was living in the woods. Of course Jim, even if cautious didn't see any problem in walking too close from there. He said that as long as they would not step inside their territory, nothing would happen.

Who didn't listen to his first officer ?

There were close to the beaming location when they were attacked. At first they were fighting, but after a while, it became certain it would be a better idea to simply run away.

It was only when finally beamed up that Spock dropped on the ground, green blood escaping a wound he never talked about. There was panicked words an then nothing as he was brought back to MedBay.
