Feng Wu hadn’t meant for it to be that loud, but it had happened. Standing there. Trying to catch her breath as anger bubbled over.

“Good. No one should be helping me!”

Funny, how if the roles were reverse, she’d be the first one to go running headfirst into trouble to help someone, a friend, family, a stranger, any of it. She had a duty right? Of course she did, her powers, her skills, it gave her the responsibility to help others, and yet somehow, Feng Wu didn’t think the reverse applied.

“Every time someone tries to help, it ends badly for them…I’m not going to drag anyone else down with me…” she wasn’t worth it in her mind, after all, it wasn’t like she was ever going to return to the royal court. A shaking breath. “You should go, because when they find me, they’ll kill you too.”

Thena’s lips pursed and her head turned slowly.  “Do you need something or were you thinking you could sneak up on me?”  Either way the Eternal was not happy.

“When I put my wings away, it’s like they don’t exist,” Laurie pointed out. His wings were made of light, practically, only visible with the shower of golden sparkles that brought out the distinctive shape. They erupted when he put them away, the sparkles flying out every which way until nothing was left. It used to disturb him. He furrowed his brow forward, giving the other a glance over. Fair was fair. “I guess you would be an army man…”

He shrugs his shoulders then and looks at the other "I didn't mean to be rude to you or anything of the sort I just wanted to inquire as to why you stood the way you did and most of the time it's because the person had wings but I meant no disrespect to you." Aston then gets a thoughtful look on his face looking at the other he says "That is a good way to camouflage your wings I guess making them not exsist or like they don't and I suppose that it's a good thing for you to do at times with human's not liking what they don't understand."

Thomas wasn't watching where he was going on a hike in the woods with the other and almost tripped over a tree root but as he was going of balance the other grabbed his hand and helped him regain his balance. "Thank you, I'm afraid that I need to pay more attention to where I walk and not talk so much while I do it." He chuckles and then drops his hand from the others.

For as many times as Harper had gotten caught in the rain, she finally prepared for once and brought an umbrella. She watched a few people run off when the thick drops started, having a bit of pride in herself as she opened her own to keep dry, but spotting someone who kept walking in a slow pace and willingly got soaked. 

“Here!” She immediately was at their side, pressing close to the pair of them could share the umbrella. “Where are you heading to? I’ll go with you to stay dry.”

Chris looks at Laurie for a moment. Slowly but surely an appreciative smile spreads along his face. Maybe it was good to let people into his life more often. One can't go through life alone, you need friends to make this rocky journey better.

"You mean it?" Chris asked with a chuckle, hands pouring him a cup of coffee, "Well, just know I got you too."
