What we really need is laws stopping corporate America from artificially inflating rent and property values for their own benefit, that's what would really help the homelessness issue. That would be a more permanent solution, the fact that a landlord can raise the rent by like 20-30% and some states every single year is fucking ridiculous. But the United States government would rather bitch and moan about having to pay to help homelessness then regulate corporate America and the way that they are encroaching on the housing market.
