this is. the stupidest thing for me to hone in on but im so interested in how rosohna even works?? what are their industries? how does farming work if there's no sun? what jobs do people have? is there agriculture? is there zoning? how does zoning work in a city where horizontal expansion is nigh-impossible? are there districts? Matthew I Need Answers But Doubt I'm Gonna Get Them
FIRST OF ALL, bold of you to assume zoning regulations in Rosohna only consider new sectors instead of making sure that the inner districts don’t go absolutely bonkers with the building heights to accommodate the housing demand-- and districts?? OF COURSE districts exist, confirmed by the dungeon master himself when he’s describing the M9′s trip to the gallimaufry. it looks like more of a classist thing than a regulations thing tho. but tbh thats usually what bad zoning causes in irl cities
SECONDLY. secondly. it’s ok. there can just be cute bioluminescent plants under the dark sky. Matt did describe certain types of greenery, but they dont resemble the vegetables the M9 ate at the inn, which were actual proper veggies and roots and that leads me to myTHIRD POINT because listen honestly i love thinking about these things and Xhorhas seems very densely populated only in certain areas (see the housing demand in Rosohna), with decent amounts of more “nomadic” inhabitants that live a much more rural lifestyle across the continent (who are kinda freaking out anyway because apparently everything is weird and the usual hunting spots don’t work out anymore) ANYWAY BACK TO AGRICULTURE because I’d say there’s enough space inbetween cities to have a decent agricultural area around them?? im talkin like, von thunen’s model of agricultural land type of organization, u get me??
