I'm not trying to assume anything, since the Rogue trailer wasn't terribly specific. But I hope it does go deeper than Shay trying to kill all assassins just because of something he heard/ thought. Like I have no idea why he'd just suddenly turn on the Assassin brotherhood and potentially hunt down and kill ones who didn't even have anything to do with whatever happened to him... I suppose we'll learn that soon enough. I may skip Rogue, though. In Black Flag I did everything I could to keep from killing the assassins in the beginning. All but a few of them I was just able to knock out. I don't think I could bring myself to kill the assassins Shay has his sights set on.
