Oyone from Dororo never seems to get enough love from the fandom, and I include myself in this statement because although I have a fic planned that I want her to be in, I haven’t actually written any scenes she’s in. But this week, I started playing Onryo by Chilla’s Art, which is apparently a send-up to Fatal Frame if the videos I’ve seen on it are correct. And since the protagonist speaks with a feminine voice, and Oyone appeared pretty knowledgeable in how to deal with the giant turtle demon in the manga, I thought she might fit pretty well into an Onryo/Fatal Frame AU.

I used screenshots of the Camera Obscura from Fatal Frame as a reference, since you never actually see the camera in Onryo. The coat is based on one Ami Mizuno wore in the live action Sailor Moon TV series, since I thought the look matched with something a modern version of Oyone might wear. I was originally going to ink the picture before coloring it, but as I was sketching up the camera, I ended up deciding I wanted to keep the sketchy look even if I planned to put it in color. I also tried to go for that sort of deliberately grimy look a lot of PS1-style horror seems to have.

At some point, I’d like to go back and potentially add a pin on her jacket with the same shape as the pattern from her kimono in the manga. 

I also thought about having her and Okowa both exist, since sometimes I like the idea of them being sisters in an AU (largely because I’m pretty sure Okowa is the 2019 series’ version of Oyone) but I didn’t plan enough room in the shot for her, so a picture of both of them might have to wait for a bit.

Donatello, the Nightwatcher

While Donatello's skills are as sharp as ever, kept up by his vigilante lifestyle, skills aren't always enough. Not when facing enemies who don’t play fair, fight with numbers, state of the art weaponry, or blessed with powerful mutations. Sometimes a combination or all three. And, without a team to fall back on, Donie has had to rely on his technology. While the Nightwatcher suit 2.0 has some rough edges to it, marked with Donatello's signature cobbled together touch, it is his pride and joy. It is made from the finest things he could gather: state of the art materials stolen from enemies and criminals, reverse engineered kraang technology, and his own tech, all powered by a modified krang powercell. This lets him supercharge the armor if necessary, increasing his strength and speed, and giving him access to even deadlier weaponry. Donnie is tired of people leaving him. So he tries to be independent self efficient, moving and acting in life as if he doesn't need anyones help, doesn't want anyone, depsite the opposite.
