• You were getting annoyed by his silly ego back then and he loved to piss you off

• You were probably one of Guren's aides and came from a low-level family

• But when he got to know Shinya, he saw how much he cared for you and said it's okay

• Guren is like your big brother

Shinya: „Y/N~ you are staring~“

Shinya: „Actually, I really appreciate your gawking but we’re on a mission right now.“

Shinya: „Y/N-chan~ You need to defend yourself, I am ready to shoot at you. It’s training time and not we are on a mission together- I can admire Shinya shooting at vampires time.“

You: „I am not doing that ! I just-„

You: „Ah shit!“

Shinya comes to your table and sits down and is looking at you closely.

You: „Wha-Wha-What the hell are you doing, Shinya?“

Shinya: „Staring?“

You : I can see that? Why?“

Shinya: „Well, there is this one person who can not stop staring at me while I am aiming at vampires with Byakkomaru.I wonder…, how does it feel?“

You: „I already said sorry! *embarrassed*“

Shinya: „….“

You: „Ehm… how long are you torturing me?!“

Shinya: „Slowly, I get why you can‘t stop, Y/N-chan~“

not getting hugged by shinya when you came home was one thing, and now this?

"shinya," you grumble, and he hides the smile that makes its way on his face upon hearing your grumpy voice. standing at the door of your shared bedroom, a scowl on your face, you cross your arms over your chest.

he turns the swivel chair to face you, pushing away the open textbook on his desk, and puts on a facade of innocence as his soft blue eyes land on you— he's well aware why you're acting like this, he just finds this way too entertaining.

"yes, my dear?"

"i've been home for an hour and a half."

furrowing his brows and he looks at you with faux confusion. "and?" he questions, absent-mindedly spinning his pen, trying so hard to bite back the smile that just wants to place itself on his face.

rolling your eyes, you swallow your pride. "you didn't hug me when i came home," voice quiet and low as embarrassment creeps up on your face.

"what?" tilting his head, he smiles. "didn't quite catch that, darling."

"you didn't hug me," he's trying so hard not to laugh as he looks at you— he heard you the first time, but he pretends he didn't catch that at all as he slightly leans forward and asks you to repeat what you had just said. grumbling, you walk closer to him and looked away.

"i said," your voice firm, "you didn't hug me, and i want a hug."

he finally laughs and you look at him, a pout on your face. he's smiling so hard right now as the crinkles forming around his eyes, slightly lets his pretty blue eyes peek out. shinya calms down and waves you over to come closer to him and you do— who are you to and why would you refuse him anyway?

"come here, darling," a smile on his pretty face as you walk toward him. when you were near, shinya wraps his hands around your waist, pulling you close as he breathes in your scent. placing your hand on his shoulders, one of your hand makes its way to his hair, caressing it and scratching it in all the right places. he sighs and melts into your touch. shinya then rests his chin on your chest, now looking up at you.

"that why you were so grumpy?"

rolling your eyes, you flick his forehead, "shut up, i just missed you."

he kisses your stomach before standing up to his full height, and the male turns you around as he guides you to the bed. despite him being taller, he chooses to lay down on top of you— he definitely isn't crushing you with his whole body— his head nestles between your neck and shoulder, arms wrapped around your waist and yours around his neck. he smiles and kisses your jaw, muttering against your skin.

"i missed you too."

closing your eyes, you smile as you relish his warmth and breathe in his scent that never fails to make you feel at ease. he smells faintly of mint, and maybe a little bit of fresh lemon, it's citrusy. but, whenever you get a whiff of his scent, you'll always be reminded of home.

because home for you will always be where shinya hiiragi is.

Year of the Tiger part 2: Byakkomaru

today is the seventh day of Chinese New Year, which means it's 人日! (aka the birthday of human beings according to chinese mythology lol) thus, I present to you a colouring of this human and his white tiger 白虎丸 :))

because @salamanbrrr said she hadn't seen byakkomaru art for lny in this post (my inspo thanks!)
