Bloggers Opinion-
Ok this was a ride. I really like how this is shot, its seriously beautiful and I love the overall vibe of this. I don’t watch a whole lot of thriller or horror movies, but if I’m going to, I want it to be something atmospheric and something that I can think about for a while afterward, and this was just that. I honestly don’t think anyone fully understands what happened in this and it's very open-ended. The fact that I spent the entire time wondering if this was psychological horror or paranormal horror was really interesting, I already knew that it was going to be quite a roller coaster but it was seriously beautiful, and the acting in it felt really good. Phum creeped me out and Tam was also really morally grey, and because there really wasn’t a whole lot of other characters in this, those two helped add to the vibe.
Now, there are a lot of loose threads in this and I have some things that I keep getting stuck on while trying to sort out a theory for what happened in this. Really, one of the weirdest parts for me was right after one of the main “paranormal” parts of the movie happened, and then cutting to Tam crying in bed, lying next to Phum, who was also crying. What the fuck. When, where, how and what just happened? Also the question of what the fuck happened to Tam’s brother's body, as well as who the hell (almost) killed the dog? Was the dog a zombie? Was that first person in the garbage dump a zombie? Did the mold have anything to do with anything, or was it all just a coincidence? Is this paranormal or not??? Either way, this is so well done, I loved it. I will almost definitely watch this again.
Final thoughts- If you’re someone that enjoys horror and the triggers I put aren’t really a problem for you, my god, watch this! I have no idea what happened and I love it. Seriously a good mystery/ thriller/ drama and the overall vibe of this was just fantastic. I would love to know what you guys think!
