I paint the backs of many of my paintings as I often paint on art board or other flat, hard surfaces. It started out as a way to use up paint left on the palette or cover up some sort of unpleasant branding and then, I started loving doing it. Occasionally, the "B Side" paintings got out of control to the point that they were better than the "A Side" (in a few efforts) so that the work became sort of a two for one deal. I don't think this on in particular qualifies; but, I like it anyway. This is the back of my most recent piece... . . #hopewellkat #ontheback #bside #art #artist #katbaileyartist #katbaileyauthor #artezaofficial #honeybear #theducksong #grankatandlily #lilyandgrankat (at Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxv3AnmB6JP/?igshid=hz8x7bzvujqn
