Lightfoot Brothers Crying Appreciation Post

All the times (I think?) Ian and Barley teared up or got close to tearing up ⤵️
One of my favorite parts about Onward is the fact that both the boys CRY
If you never got this memo before in your life, here it is right now: IT IS PERFECTLY ALRIGHT TO CRY!
seeing Ian and Barley tear up on screen made me, well, happy cry I should say lol...because really, crying means you're feeling something and every person in every universe is valid to have feelings!
so I'm grateful that Pixar makes sure that not only we, the audience, cry and have feelings, but to also have their characters cry and have feelings too
once again: representation matters 😉
Notice how this all takes place in the second half of the film, on the second day of their quest, and that Ian tears up a little more calmly/quietly than Barley does...I never really noticed that before but that's so interesting! And it totally fits their characters to a T!
it's little things like this that just make me love the movie even more with every rewatch and every detail scout! 😄
