She just wants to live. To get out of this godforsaken asylum as soon as possible, and go home. Get some help, try to forget everything she’s seen. Realistically, she knows there’s not going to be any forgetting all this- but she’d be damned if she didn’t try.

She hides in small spaces, maneuvering her way to the closest exit, when she sees one of her patients. He had always been a sweetheart, never hostile, even brought her one of the few wildflowers that had managed to grow in the filthy courtyard.

Her first instinct is to call out to him, to help him- poor thing, he’s only got an inch or two on her, and not much weight- but she spots the Soldier before she can say anything, and she recedes back into her hiding spot.

Walker barrels toward her patient, and it’s over as soon as it begins, and the poor man’s head is one of Walker’s hands, his body in the other. 

She wants to vomit, but she forces the bile back down and stays as silent as she can.
