I happen to like OCs (Original Characters). It disturbs and saddens me to know that some rpers take some sort of weird pride in 'killing' off characters. Any thoughts? - L

Didn't you know? It's a symbol of status to be an OC killer. Duh. No. Not really. I only know one person that brags about killing other characters, and L, I'm sure you know exactly who I am talking about. It's not pretty. And not nice. So why brag about it?

This person is saying that people look down on them because they have their character be in a gay relationship.

Their "character" is an rp account for someone that exists in REAL LIFE and is STILL ALIVE. This is incredibly creepy. Their info includes this little shining gem as well, while describing the account theirs is married to (which is also an rp account for a REAL LIVING PERSON):

" The two are married... though, unfortunately, not in real life."

So they have a role playing account, and their character is a real life, still living Korean pop star?

(Could this be defamation of character? I don't really know. Must investigate further.)

Statuses like this are just plain annoying. What do you expect people to say? It's a negative post, with nothing to it. If they gave a reason, then maybe I could comment on it politely. But I'm just ignoring it.

How to Properly Delete Your RP Account

So you don't want to RP anymore. I don't care what the reason is, but the end result is that you've got an account that you're no longer interested in. So you've got to delete it. It sounds simple, right? It should be. But it's very easy to make it a difficult process for everyone involved.

This is how you can avoid the emotional difficulty of deleting your RP account.

Do not, under any circumstances, announce that you are deleting your account if you have no intention to actually delete said account.

 Do not delete your account in order to get a reaction from someone or to make someone feel guilty.

Keep it brief, a status or a note explaining that you are leaving. You can say why, but keep it brief.

However, only inform people for the express purpose of informing people that you are leaving. Do not do this in order to get attention. Do not do it so people tell you how much they love and would cry if you left. It's annoying. R-E-S-P-E-C-T, people.

If you DO delete your account, please do not use this opportunity to tell everyone how much you hate them/the community. It's hardly effective, considering that the message will be lost with the deletion of your account.

Do not act like the deleting of your account is the end of the world. You do realize you can reactivate it instantly, right?

Most Important Step: Just delete the account.

I do hope that you find this information somewhat useful. At the very least, this is some insight for what other RP-ers think when you do not follow these steps when deleting your account.
