#ooc struggles

Any fic writers ever have that "thing" where you're making two or more characters interact in a scene you REALLY want for your story, but then as you're making it everything just is so clearly out of character? And it's hard to continue bc you don't want the characters acting abnormally, but you REALLY want this particular scene.

Hence some writing block.

(P.s i know the point of fanfiction is just to write what you want and characters are allowed to be OOC. I'm personally just a stickler for keeping characters as Canon in personality as possible so it bothers me when I make them not.)

Me: Maybe I could sing and play guitar with Save Me, San Francisco-

Choir Teacher: It has to be popular and recent!

Me: Maybe I could sing and play guitar with Bright by Echosmi-

Choir Teacher: I don't want like, 30 guitar players! I want some diversity!

Me: We don't even have guitar players really in our school, but I can do it alone-

Choir Teacher: I love boy girl duets!

Me: I'm not doing one of those either, oh well at least he's accepting a lot of acts-

Choir Teacher: I'm accepting 24 acts only!!! You'll be up against the other 580 kids who are auditioning!

Me: Well, at least we have some time-

Choir Teacher: You have a month

Me: Screw it I'm not doing it
