This...this has never been something I have considered, been forced to consider.

I suppose it depends on the circumstances - I feel as though I could not properly commit to an answer without all relevant information.

The reason for my hesitation is this: Nagini is a dear friend - and yet were she merely my familiar I would select Delphini in a heartbeat.

However, as Nagini is a horcrux...you see this complicates matters.
