Bryan: guess who's almost home
001. {+ That place between asleep and awake...
This place he'd woken up in wasn't it.
When Peter first opened his eyes he was in a blinding white room that smelled an awful lot like cleaning chemicals he didn't know the names of. Of course the first thing he tried to do was try to stand. He then soon found that being wobbly on his feet was something he wasn't accustomed to at all.
Then, there was someone on the screen in front of him saying a lot of stuff Peter now was thinking he should have paid a little bit more attention to. Something about science and being a bio...biosomething? Maybe someone mentioned a city somewhere along the line? And something about... O-5? 05? 50? 50 what? Dollars? Cookies? He hoped it was cookies.
Long story short: He didn't have the faintest idea of what that person said or who they were.
But what he did know was that whoever that person had been, they'd been an adult and adults never knew anything anyway. So while right now he was thinking that maaaaybe he should have listened because he thought that that fifty thing might have had something to do with where he was going to be living, he convinced himself whatever it was the adult said wasn't all that important. Oops.
Either way he'd left the room and on his way out he'd been thinking to himself: Oh sure! I can find my way around! No problem!
And then of course he got outside and he found himself in a place he'd never seen before and really could not find his way around. Skyscrapers at least 18 floors tall, thick air, and noises from every direction: people chatting to his left, vendor store bells chiming on his right, a bicycle wheeling past inches in front of him, loud bouncy feeling music down the street diagonal from him. Then there is just the amount of people! People bussing about around him; all of them looking busy and like they already knew what was going on. Some of them scuttling quickly off to work, some checking their watches as they wait for others to show up, some talking as they pass him by...
Most people might feel suddenly claustrophobic, or maybe maybe a little scared to find themselves in a place such as this. Peter, however, wasn't exactly most people. Instead of feeling like he was being suffocated, or scared, or nervous, he felt excited. This might not be his Neverland, but it sure looked like his next big adventure.
Milling about through the masses of people, looking every which way like he's a tourist, peering in windows and getting easily distracted following the noises and attractions from various vendors having no bearings and with no idea of his place in this new city...
This is how we find our dear Peter Pan currently.
Maybe you should talk to this poor Lost Boy.

Josh's stomach felt like a million butterflies were in it, Niall always made him feel this way. The brown haired boy walked over to his bathroom, getting ready to see Niall. As he quiffed up his hair slighty, he made sure he was wearing Niall's brown T-shirt he stole. He knew Niall liked it when he wore his clothes, so why not? Josh slipped on his skinny jeans, and a pair of high tops. As he headed for the door, he sighed. It had been forever since he'd seen Niall, but he was happy he still had the chance. Josh arrived at Niall's door, and knocked loudly. After knocking, he opened the door himself. "Baby?" he chuckled, walking into his boyfriend's house.
