"Hehe, then you don’t have any faith or trust." Those were human words, but it was funny, cause Youpi and Pouf could fly. Did they have faith and trust? Well they probably did, they were both good ants, loyal to their king. This was a ignorant human, who could never fly like they did. Pitou blinked curiously as they touched their ears.

"Nyyaaaaa~ don’t touch those, they’s sensitive, nyaa." Pitou let out a little moaning sound, but then an instant latter their eyes flew open, burning bright red. It had been fun, but this human was foolish to bring himself closer just to do that. Too foolish to live.

"I changed my mind. I didn’t like that. I’m going to remove your hand nyow."

"Oh but I do!" Peter says lifting his chin. "I can do anything!"

Peter spends a moment playing with the others ears. They were real alright, and Peter doesn't think he ever encountered anyone with real cat ears before. He's met people with real fish tails, because, of course, there are mermaids in mermaid lagoon. That's how it got it's name, after all.

Then, the cat eared person pulls away and says they're going to remove Peter's hand. Most would probably panic, but not Peter. He only blinks. He is a child after all and cannot understand the gravity of these things. To understand would be to grow up -- of course this is something that will never happen.

"Aw. Why would you do that? I know it's great -- it's my hand!-- but you have your own!"

          — “…is that so?” —

Fenris raises his eyebrows at the boy, nearly smiling.

            — “Well, in that case, I suppose I should be honored.                       it’s not every day I meet someone who’s                                             pretty great." —

         {  Cue Peter not picking up on the gentle sarcasm. }

Peter only grins wide and toothy, showing all his baby teeth. 

"That's right!" he says, not catching the gentle sarcasm at all. "Maybe you're not so bad for an adult." Anyone who thinks he's great is okay in his books.

It wasn’t every day a waltz through the sector was given interruption by a nameless figure careening groundward. Nor was it atypical to need watch your step out of the wary concern such precarious events might befall you. Although, then again, Hive City was not your average place.

An afternoon wasted away in decadent expenditure of the funds Hiro had until now held came to a close in the most unexpected of fashions (as most feats in the Hive did wont to do). Yet, it was as he sat up, rubbing where his head had come into contact with something equally thick-skulled that Hiro squinted through his pain to the source of the collision with considerable more awe than anger at the apparent rudeness.

"Ow— you watch out! Where did you even come from?" The brunette demanded in swift succession, dark eyes turned upward to the cloudless afternoon sky which canopied their aberrant metropolis. No great heights from which the other had allegedly leapt availed him, further adding to the conundrum of the redhead’s descent, as if from the heavens themselves (although, judging from the rudeness, Hiro hardly contrived the boy opposite as any angel).

Rising to his feet amongst the sea of bags Hiro had once held in hand, it was with an irritable frown that he brushed off his clothes, further tightening the jacket wrapped about his waist before again turning his attentions onto his unexpected company. And in shaking his head, leaned forward to pluck from beneath the other’s ankles one of the aforementioned bags, filled near to bursting with an assortment of mechanical parts the average citizen could give no name— but held plenty of untapped purpose to the Hamada brothers that was yet in store.

"Okay seriously though," Again the younger of the aforementioned brothers interjected, "That wasn’t normal. People don’t just fall out of the sky like that. What were you doing?”

"The sky! And you were in my way!" Peter says, as if it were obvious, and too proud to admit that he was the one who is at fault in the situation. But the other, as would be obvious to anyone who is not Peter, cannot be faulted in this situation, after all people don't usually fly in most universes; if they do, its not a common occurrence for their powers to cut out. It is not as if people should be on the look out for events such as this. 

Peter now, too, rises to his feet, but doesn't bother to brush off. A little dirt never hurt anyone and with all his adventuring back home being a little dirty and banged up is a state Peter is used to being in.

The slight jangling noise he hears when Hiro picks up his bag grabs his attention though So, dismissively he answers: "I was flying." On any other day the boy would be more than happy to show off and tell the other how all it took was a little faith and trust! but he is far too distracted. The bag looks heavy and like it might be of real importance.

"What do you got in there?" Peter asks, reaching to grab and look inside without asking because manners and Peter have clearly never gotten along. "Is it treasure? I bet it's treasure."

            — “…No thanks.” —

Fenris shakes his head at the boy, and all his talk of fire and Captains. It reminds Fenris a little of the tales Isabela used to tell — most of which, he assumes, were full of shit. From the mouth of a child, though, Fenris feels they’re mere fancies. Coping mechanisms, maybe.

Still, the elf feels guilty just leaving the child on his own, so he sighs curtly, pinches the bridge of his nose, and introduces himself:

  — “My name is Fenris. I’m…new.” —

Peter's shoulders sag when the other refuses him.

"Oh. Are you sure? It would be a lot of fun -- maybe even an adventure!" And, ah, as easy as that Peter's energy levels are back at high, and he remains completely unaware of the others exasperation. 

"I'm Peter Pan." The boy puffs out his chest and lifts his chin proudly. "I'm pretty great."

"Hehe, my claws are pretty sharp." He was right though, they should have been more careful and decapitated him on the way down instead of trying to catch him. Pitou hit their head, angry at letting their curiosity get the better of them again. Well, it was hid boon, to not die that was. Pitou stepped closer and nodded. "Uh huh, I’ll watch you go on that adventure first." They prepared to strike, but hesitated again when he was going to give his explanation. That would at least be worth hearing.

Is they had a sense of humor, it might have even made them laugh, but this was just foolishness. “Nyo, that’s called falling, nyot flying.” Pitou cocked thier head at him, tail shwooshing about. This was just getting even more perplexing. “I can throw you up if you want to do it again. Will that give you happy thoughts?” Sticking out thier tounge, they frowed at the boy. “Nyow you’re not making any sense.”

Peter can only shake his head. 

"I can too fly!" he argues childishly, because he is, of course, a child. "It's easy! All it takes is faith and trust." He jumps once more for good measure, but no, Peter does not take to the skies. He stays firmly grounded.

Again, he lets out a frustrated sigh. Frowning unhappily at the ground as if he thinks it will change anything. But Pitou's tail swishing back and fourth wholly grabs Peter's attention this time.

Peter approaches the other and reaches to touch Pitou's ears.

"No but these sure will! Are they real?"

Fenris stares at the kid as he lifts up off the ground, brow furrowed in confusion. But the time the boy is safely on two feet again, and starts babbling about something regarding a “second star,” Fenris has started truly worrying about the child’s health.

        — “…Listen, boy, I don’t know who you came here with, but…it seems like you are on your own. There’s an orphanage that helps children like you. Children…without families. I only just arrived here, so I can’t tell you where it is, but I’m sure if we looked together…” —

Fenris rubs at the back of his neck, at a loss.

          — “…I can’t just leave you alone.” —

Peter shakes his head again.

"I have a home." For once he doesn't mean Neverland. "I live in sector 003. The gun fire reminds me of the Captain and... and sometimes there are people who look like they forgot to put clothes on walking around..."

"But I don't need anyone to take care of me! I can do that all by myself." He gives a sure nod and proud grin. "I can even show you around."

Who the hell is this weird ginger elf-child, Fenris wants to know.

    — “…Fly? I…what…Do I even want to tug at that thread…?” —

Fenris tilts his head to one side, examining the child. He hates to be the bearer of bad news, but…

    — “And suppose we’re stuck here. Suppose we can’t ever go back home. What then? Will you have changed your tune if that proves to be the case?” —

Peter only nods enthusiastically. 

"That's right!" And Peter lifts off the ground with ease, zipping around the other once before landing again. "It's easy! Anyone can do it! But you probably already know that." Peter tugs on his own ears to show what he means.

But he shakes his head at the next thing.

"No way! I could get back to Neverland if I didn't have a time limit on my fight! All you have to do is find the second star to the right and straight on 'till morning."

Limited magical ability…potential for upward mobility…multicolored talking animals…

      — “…maybe this place isn’t a total disgrace, after all.” —

(Now if only he could locate District Beta…or any of his allies, for that matter…Fenris would be set.)

Peter, upon over hearing the others mutterings, can't help but butt in.

"Of course it isn't! Not being able to fly sure isn't fun, but there's so much to explore and so many new people! I'll have great stories to tell the Lost Boys when I get home!"

Pitou was unusually startled by the falling figure, so much that they almost didn’t react in time to catch him. Their arms shot up, clawing into the skin of the person who had fallen onto them, though that really hurt their fingers to hold this person like that. Pitou took a moment to snap themselves out of their fear response, and recognize that this person was not a threat, at least not immediately. Putting him down, they had left eight rips in thier green suit… all green actually. Huh, this was really a strange outfit, and Pitou didn’t know want to make of it. Thier tail flicked curiously as they scrached thier chin slightly.

"Hehe, I really should have been paying more attention. A sneak attack from above… you’re pretty interesting, hmmmm." Yep, he was really right, they should have been watching out. Now Pitou would know to look at the sky too, and knowing was approximately 86% of the battle. They still felt pretty foolish for letting some silly looking human get the drop on them like that, literally. If the king had seen thus, they would get a sound beating, and the man in green would be complimented on his cleverness before being slain. Well, they could talk to them for a while instead of ending thier life so quickly. Someone who came from the sky had to have lots to say. "But you failed to kill me, so what should I do with you?"

Sharp fingers dig into Peter's arms and leave long angry, red scratches.

"Ow!" Peter cries looking at his new injuries and now ruined shirt. He has many of course, but this one (as they all are when he's wearing them) is his favourite one! 

He looks back to the person he how sees seems to have ears of a cat which while Peter finds interesting because they are different from the suits the Lost Boys wear he is still upset about his shirt.

"Yeah! You should really be more careful--" and Peter stops short, blinking in confusion. "Kill you? To die would be an awfully big adventure, but I wasn't trying to hurt you."

"I was flying and..." Peter jumps a couple times trying to get himself to fly and prove his point but nothing happens. Peter keeps landing on his feet. He lets out an unsatisfied huff and corsses his arms. "I fell out of the sky and I can't seem to do it again! No matter how many happy thoughts I think!"

She inhales deeply, the non-cloying air of sector oo6 remarkably liberating. The crisp air keeps her refreshed in these times, and for the moment, it is enough to keep her calm. Eyelids shut, blocking out the dim sun from her view. She is prepared to bask in the tranquility that is this moment.

That is, until she feels a shadow cross over the park bench that is her throne. She uncrosses her legs and blinks her eyes open, to see a boy who flies. He isn’t winged or part avian or anything like that. Instead, he just is, bringing to mind a certain dream jester, but even more so giving her feelings most nostalgic. He reminds her of her childhood, and more importantly, reminds her of that island.

“You… Do I know you…?” When she speaks, it is with deliberate care. She’s certain she met the boy there, but she swears that many of the other people here were acquaintances on Arcadios, and none of them even bat an eye in her direction. Maybe, when being pulled from that world, memories are muddled and fussed with. “Is your name Peter Pan?”

Peter was housed in sector 003, much to his great disappointment. For reasons he couldn't understand many of the men and women within his sector looked like they forgot to put clothes on in the morning, and although he has not lived in Hive City all that long there hasn't been a day yet where he hasn't heard a gun fire. Though it probably shouldn't, the gun fire of sector 003 reminded Peter of the Captain's pirates, and brought the boy comfort when he found he was missing Neverland.

Ah, Neverland with its forests he knew like the back of his hand, the mountains he could soar higher than, and the ocean that seemed endless at times. Hive City was a great adventure and all, but could one really blame the boy from missing home at times?

Which is why Peter took great joy in sector 006. It was no Neverland -- nothing could compare to Neverland! -- but the skies were blue and the grass was green which was refreshing after so long in the city. The walk, yes the walk, to the sector took longer than Peter would have liked, but now that he was here he planned to use every last second he was allotted to fly freely.

He's about to let out one of his famous crows when someone grabs his attention. He turns to come face to face with someone he feels should be familiar to him, someone he hasn't seen in years, someone from another place much like his home in someways, and not at all like it in others.

Still, he lands, and puts his hands on his hips, lifting his chin proudly.

"Yup!" he says, giving the woman a great toothy grin. "That's me! Peter Pan!" He pauses and watches the woman carefully a moment longer that feeling of rememberance ticklig the back of his mind. "Why do I feel like I should know you? Adults are boring so what makes you so special?"

Upon waking in a strange white room with a strange gentlemen telling you that you've pulled from your universe and have been placed into a simulated city it would most likely be a safe bet to say that you would have some questions. Questions like: Pardon, but, where am I? Who are you? Could you run that by me one more time, please? but end up often expressed as a simple, flat, and possibly rude sounding: What.

However, Peter Pan is not most people. These things simply did not occur to him to be asked as there was but one thought running through his head: Adventure!

As such, Peter makes his first mistake and does't bother listening to the man on the screen telling him that he has flight limitations. Peter's second mistake was taking to the skies the moment the doors opened to the place that is Hive City. His third mistake was not bothering with any point of reference for himself. His fourth mistake -- well, let us just say Peter did not do any of the things he should have.

In the pit of his stomach is where he feels it first and he's only allowed a single moment of confusion before he's falling through the air fast. Some would be afraid to tumble out of the sky like a flightless baby bird, but not Peter. As absurd as some may think it is he only feels a rush of excitement. 

Luckily for Peter, and not so luckily for anyone else, his fall lands him into an innocent bystander.

"Watch out, would you?" he says rubbing his head and sitting up right, completely ignoring the fact that it was he who fell out of the sky.

[Well, technically, yes,]

[There are other robots, but they’re all different. None of them looked like me.]

He made a slight chuckling motion - though no such sound came from him - at the boys next question before shaking his head. He couldn’t transform into a car, but he found the thought rather interesting, if a bit silly. Of course, he could turn into a cannon when fused with Naota, but he decided to leave that bit out since he didn’t have that ability at the moment.

[I can’t turn into a vehicle, but I can fly. Is that cool?]

The last question wasn’t strange; he certainly wasn’t the first person to wonder just what made Canti tick. To be quite honest, he didn’t really know - but he was fairly certain he didn’t need batteries, so he shook his head.

Technically? 

Peter didn't know what that meant, but he guessed that it had something to do with a lot of details, and he was never one for details. Although he didn't ever age, he is the boy that never grows up after all, he wasn't one to sit around idly wasting his time with things like details.

The laughing motion confused Peter for a second. Mimicking the robot for a second he realized he was laughing. This caused the boy to really laugh. A robot laughing!

Luckily he notices that there was more to read and immediately the boy's face it up.

"You can fly?" he repeated. "I can too!"

Lifting off the ground, Peter did a quick flip in the air. He's a very proud boy, and he's not embarrassed to say he's showing off how easy flight is for him.

The reason the pirate was there was simply because he didn’t have much to do in this bizarre city. Peter’s answer was more than enough to make it clear to Hook that the boy was indeed from Neverland. Well, the Captain might be an adult, but he had been to Neverland alright.

“Huh.” Now that the mystery was solved – at least on Hook’s side – he was satisfied. As a habit, he moved his fingers to his hook, holding its now dull (since he had stepped on Hive City it was completely unsharpened) point and swirling it between the digits.

Peter's memory had a nasty habit of being faulty. Not that he was just naturally forgetful but more out of necessity. Sometimes he needed his memory to be jogged whether he knew he needed it or not.

Which brings us to our current situation. 

The hook on anyone else might have not aroused suspicion in the boy, instead maybe he would have maybe been excited to see such a feature he'd only seen on one other person before. 

The one and only Captain Hook being that very person. With an easy click of their talk about an adult in Neverland and then seeing the very ignjury Peter had caused the man--

"Captain Hook!" Peter cried, jumping back and drawing his now wooden dagger. Not unusually Peter didn't exactly have a plan of what to do next.

Which was well enough, as the boy was much better at thinking on his feet.

It wasn’t very insulting because Hook did not care at all for what the boy said. He raised his eyebrow in a silent reply, whilst his gaze still fell upon the boy. He was indeed somewhat familiar. But since he had lived for many and many years, it was hard to tell if his mind wasn’t playing tricks on him. 

But Peter’s question made him wonder if… Well, there was a place where he did meet lots of boys. “…Neverland?” 

Hook was positive that if this boy was indeed from that land, he would let it show by his question. And Peter, come on, he does have a hook instead of a left hand.

It seemed that this man and Peter were on equal ground then. This man cared not for him, and Peter felt likewise. Why he still stood around, he didn't know. He thought that maybe he was still here because of that familiar feeling, and that maybe this guy might answer his question.

"You've been to Neverland?" Peter asks with surprise and also a bit of disbelief in his voice. Surely no adult had never been before. If they had most usually dismiss it as active imagination as children, or dreams. What made this man so special as to remember or have been as an adult.
