So I was thinking about Hunter x Hunter and Gon and Whale Island and then I was just kinda surprised about how, maybe I've missed it or whatever, but I haven't seen anyone even mention how Gon went on dates with adults before even being 12. Like it's not necessarily a bad thing automatically but there are definitely some implications hidden in that. I'm not completely sure about what the Hunter x Hunter world's thoughts on pedos (should that be censored?) are, considering how I haven't seen anyone in canon look twice at how Hisoka acts but if a 12 year old told me that they had been going on dates with women since they were young (I can't remember what exact age Gon said he started doing it and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an age stated in canon) I would worry because that's probably not okay, but then again I don't have any dating experience so I'm not one to talk. But anyways that's something that thinking back on was kinda strange to me and it also bothered me a bit. Cause in real life that would be very, very, very bad and, if I remember correctly, also illegal. At least in my state, if what that one teacher said then that is true. And there's the fact that despite some differences (nen, bug shaped phones, huge fish, eyes changing colors due to emotion, HUNTERS, etc...) , That world is pretty much the same as our own. So I'd imagine Gon dating adults since being a kid or whatever is Not Okay, but I have no clue.
