Drinking certainly hadn’t been a good idea, while under the best of circumstances he often was rather good at controlling and keeping his abilities in check, under the influence left him struggling to do so and all those voices left the young professor gripping his temple for a moment to gain some focus before the others presence had him suddenly peering up and raising a brow. 

“Forgive me;I suppose i’ve simply had far too much to drink.” a small smile was offered it was a shadow of the truth but he’d found himself rather good at concealing the truth...even when he didn’t need to.

It’d only been less than an hour since she’d arrived with Derek, but Robin already found herself losing focus and head pounding. There was a reason why she never requested to attend events like this ever-- the sheer immensity of people had her visions bouncing off the walls. Glad that she brought her sketchbook and coloring pencils, she sat herself at a vacant table and set to putting everything on paper. It was the best way she knew to distract herself from them; getting them out rather than keeping them in.

“Strange...” he added not completely intending to speak out loud, though he was merely fascinated by the effects of alcohol in his system because he certainly hadn’t had the chance to try such things before now...much less in a party environment. “I suppose this is what it means to be intoxicated...-it is fascinating and I certainly understand why people do it.”

He stood by, watching a three tiered shot of something white, something yellow, and something orange being shifted toward him. As he downed it, relishing in the burn that went down his throat a rowdy group bumped past him flinging beads and candied bones in every direction. 

Donald side-eyed them as one girl giggled and tossed a ridiculous hat on his head. He managed to work up a smile as they stalked off catching the eyes of one of the other party-goers. 

“Honest opinion: do I look prepped for the party now?” he asked, gesturing to his new addition.

“NO...” his words were shaky, the one thing that haunted him was now happening again because he’d come to this stupid Halloween party on some whim that he finally (and for the most part) had his shit together: that he could control his powers enough not to have any reason to worry and yet here he stood surrounded by a crumbling building and people screaming in agony. 

He was almost frozen to the spot...THIS WAS WORSE THAN ANY NIGHTMARE HE’D EVER HAD.

Although the cheap booze was disgustingly lukewarm, Daisy found herself indulging in her third bottle for the night. Not too interested in dancing or socializing or anything aside from drinking for that matter, she lingered off to the side of the party and itched the spandex of her Captain America costume. Taking the time to check her watch, Daisy crossed her fingers that her friends would hopefully decide to leave sometime soon. Well– they weren’t exactly friends, but like hell she was gonna let them come to this sketchy party alone.

He had been uncertain when the invite arrived, and found his uncertainty rising at the look of the sketchy place. Except then that place turned less sketchy and more mystical and he was intrigued, at least until the strange stuff started happening. People freaking out, etc. Then everything changed, people started screaming, etc. And suddenly another banged into him, his glasses flew off and his eyes clutched shut. “Damn.” He muttered.
