Space Marine Terminator
this is me asking you about ahsoka as the embodiment of light
I see Ahsoka primarily as a being of infinite potential. She's like a sponge, absorbing everything she can from everyone around her. She has so much of Anakin in her. So much of the clones. Some of Obi-wan, some of Padme and Bail.
Ahsoka pays attetion to those around her. Tucking information away to use for later. And not just from her Allies. She's been seen using the same speech patterns, taunts, and moves as her enemies too. Ventris, maul, and dooku. Even Hondo.
She rises to ever challenge. Overcomes ever opponent.
And there is no one in the galaxy that she absorbes more of than the Daughter. Literally since Anakin uses her to sucker punch Ahsoka's life back into her body.
The light side of the force is violently transfused into her veins. And I don't think it's necessarily a case of Ahsoka being overtaken by it. I think those interpretations are interesting, but not necessarily based in the narrative truths of Ahsoka's character.
Unless she decides that it is. Ahsoka is not even a little bit the adult she dreamed she'd grow up to be. But she is exactly who she has decided to be, every step of the way. Ahsoka takes all of those collected pieces of information. Fragments of other people and build herself with that. Brick by brick. She builders herself into the version of herself that will survive. Into the version of herself that will succeed. Its very conscious on her part, to rise to the situation.
I think Ahsoka more than any other jedi in cannon other than the great masters themselves truly understood the concept of choosing who you are going to be. In every moment. And i will die on the hill that Ahsoka actively chooses to be less than a jedi. Because a jedi for all of their pure hearted values simply would not have survived and succeeded where she did. Not without justifying and lying to themselves about it at least. Ahsoka is very conscious of who she is. She walks a moral line with deep intention. She is not an optimist but neither will she succumb to pessimism.
All that is to say that Ahsoka has the capacity to become something more than herself.
All jedi are a little mythical. Just using the force extends their natural lifespans, slows their aging, strengthens their bodies and souls on some fundamental level. Sometimes doubles their lifespans.
As much of the light side as there is in Ahsoka I think she could have nurtured it. Pulled from it, that infinite well of power, and it would have changed her. Like that post I reblogged said, there is always a price. That's why Ahsoka is so intentional about what she becomes, because she knows that. That's why she won't take the title of jedi, because she very intentionally became something a little darker than that, less ideal. And if she'd chosen differently. The price she paid would have been a little more about sentience.
The more she rises to the goal of sowing light, literally pouring it from her soul into the galaxy like breathing oxygen into the mouth of an injured soldier. The less alive she'd look. The less alive she'd be. Because no one can live forever. No mortal can conjure the force, can pull it from the well at the center of all existence. So she wouldn't be anymore. Not mortal. Not alive. Not Ahsoka not really.
It would start with her scars slowly fading from her skin. The hardness leaving the corners of her eyes. The stress falling from her shoulders. The darkness draining from her heart. She'd stop caring. Really caring. Feeling real emotions. There would only be the goal. To move the light, to make it flow free through the galaxy once more. Her eyes would go light and glassy. Her lekku would grow long like it would of if her childhood had been different. Her stripes would change, more even, smooth, regular. Her facial markings would smooth around the edges. Her skin would go soft like the brush of a breeze, no use for calluses when you don't need to fight anymore.
She wouldn't need to breath. or blink. or care at all anymore.
There would only be the eternal dance. Dark and light chasing each other.
And the progression would be slow. intentional. A choice in every step. Faced with one incident after another. Driven by a want, a need to help, to make things better than eventual cannibalizes it's self into indifference.
I don't think she's very likely to walk that path, it isn't what she wants for herself. But Ahsoka will always put the galaxy above what she wants herself to be. She will always choose to be what it needs. And I think there's always the chance. Always the possibility that Ahsoka will feel the darkness reach into her and light will reach back out.
(Ahsoka could have been anything. The last jedi. Yoda's successor. Or the sith apprentice. military mastermind and ruthless killer. Or the pirate queen. Or the leader of the rebellion. the face of change. Or the right hand of Mandalore. Force user and defender. Or The leader of any number of factions against the empire. Jedi refugees. Clone defectors. Mandalorian survivors. Smugglers and mercenaries. And yeah, she could have been a god. Could have. Chose not to. Cuz our girl decided to be a jack of all trades. A little bit of both and so not really any of those things. She sacrifices all of it for a little of all of it. Just to walk the line forever.)
Monoma is such a great character bc like 70% of the time we have with him he's frothing at the mouth feral, 15 % smug little bastard and 5 % decent kid. I love him.

i don't want to alarm anyone but it looks like natasha and steve both have wakandan claw weapons now
HC: Nuka World does not go well for the Raiders. At Princess's most powerful peak, they give her a bit of trouble due to sheer numbers-but if any of them get into swinging range are dead.
