Yes, Figarland Shamrock's weird sword demon dog thing is in fact fascinating enough to have me wikipedia diving about mythology, creating a hc design, and forming enough headcanons to make a post about it. We've already established this series makes me crazy!

Onigiri (cerberus) [it/its]
•general referring to all/any of them or the body
•can shift it's size freely, from being about the length of the sword itself to big enough to rival the beasts in Elbaph's underworld
•venomous. More so in the snakes, but any bite from it can be lethal (symptoms similar to rabies)
•can generate it's swords from either it's tongues, it's teeth, or it's claws. Tongue simply is the least expected and has the best range for stabbing
•it can detach and reattach any part of it's body except it's tail, since that links back to the sword hilt. It's tail does extend though, thanks to being made entirely of abyssal fire
•enjoys flowers, especially wolfsbane, and usually has some tangled in it's fur
•HATES clear skies and too much sunlight, hence it staying in it's blade most of the time in Mariejois
•has a digging habit, will dig to the other side of the world if left unsupervised
•it considers Imu interesting and isn't even a bit intimidated
•hates Garling on principle, despite him being the one to give it to Shams
•was given the Oni'gi'ri nickname because it's real names are mouthfuls and don't distinguish between the heads clearly enough
•makes tiger noises alongside the expected dog sounds and snake hissing
•can hear ghosts but usually ignores them
•prefers raw meat over any other food, but technically doesn't need to eat
•can and will spit poison when stressed
•has the regeneration and warping abilities usually associated with the Knights. The assumption is that this is because of Shams being Marked. That's wrong, but Cerberus can't exactly correct them so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
•likes listening to lyre music and will eat honey bread despite it's preference for flesh
•the snakes lick the blood off the dog jaws whenever necessary, clean up crew <3

•usually the one controlling the body and making decisions
•responds to both her nickname and her real name equally
•Uta is her favorite, second to Shams
•feels nothing in particular about Shanks, maybe a bit of passive curiosity
•likes attention and will intentionally do things that earn her it, positive or negative

•right-most head
•the violent one, grumpy and reclusive
•fight response
•color association is red
•usually the one controlling the blades, but takes the body in stronger fights
•responds better to their real name over their nickname
•Gunko is their favorite, second to Shams
•hates Shanks an unreasonable amount, the imposter
•gets aggressive when ignored for too long, to the point of nipping (tho never fully biting) even Shams

Ri (keruberosu) [he/him]
•left-most head
•the nervous one, people-pleasing and vigilant
•fawn response
•color association is blue
•usually controls the snakes, keeping lookout around itself and providing a defensive bite if anyone gets too close
•responds to his nickname over his name often
•Rosinante is his favorite, second to Shams
•scared of Shanks, for no real reason other than him being wrong
•has seperation anxiety, getting taken away from Shams is a nightmare scenario to be avoided at all costs
