Making the character named Loki have references to Hephaestus is pretty neat and helps cement the one piece world mythology as something separate. Like, he's not Loki from Norse Mythology like Marvel's Loki is supposed to be, he's Loki from One Piece. Am I making sense? It's an interesting concept, sure, that there are people whose wills are so strong they can overpower weaker ones, and they have the "qualities of a king" and the strongest ambitions or whatever, but if it's something you have to be born with, then it just shouldn't be such an important thing in this kind of story, where what you do is so much more relevant than who you are. It should've been something that a few people have, and Luffy just uses it to thin out the enemies when they're fighting a big army, not an essential tool to be able to fight
