I think it's funny that this cursed prince, hated by his whole country, thought to have killed his own father, responsible for every single bad thing and stubbed toe in sight, the worst giant that ever darkened Elbaf's shores... has bubblegum pink hair

And with the latest chapter, it's even more contrasting

Idk, it's like trying to take the Charlotte enemies seriously in WCI when everyone was named something like Caramel Applesauce or Orange Frappuccino

I thought we were all on the same page, joking about people making fun of Shanks with "were you dropped on your head as a baby" stuff.

I'll be honest, if someone is saying that Shanks "turned good" because he was bonked on the head, I am going to assume that either a) they're joking, b) they're being purposefully dense to pick fights, or c) they literally just started reading one piece on this chapter and have no prior knowledge of the story or its core themes

Like, saying characters in one piece should be judged as good or bad because of their actions, not their blood relations is such a patently obvious statement I feel a little stupid just writing it down

I don't really understand why people hate Hancock so much?? Like yeah she's way older than Luffy but also she has the most obviously innocent puppy crush in the whole world?? She has the same level of romantic experience as Luffy, which is to say none at all, and likes him exactly because he shows absolutely no interest in her. It's a gag that the most beautiful woman in the world likes the one guy who has never and probably will never care about that. It's a gag, come on

Is it because she kicked the puppy? Oh no, the pirate is morally gray? Lucky Roo shoots a guy in the face in the very first chapter, but the Red Hair Pirates still get to be the good guys. Zoro used to kill people for money and he still gets to be the good guy. Nami and Cora-san beat up kids, but that's fine because they had a good reason to do it?

I'm not even a Hancock fan, I think she's... fine. She's funny sometimes. It's fine, she's fine. Whatever. But the hate and disgust directed specifically towards her is so weird
