YO your idea about hobbits and their super strength ACTUALLY fits with canon! Cuz like- think about it- they always are on the flight mode, and the first time Bilbo changes to 'fight' is when that Orc is about to kill Thorin. And what does he do? He fucking TACKLES the thing. If you look at the gifs of that scene, not only does he tackle it, he gets pinned under it and then throws himself BACK on TOP of it. Like WOAH RIGHT? (Cont. sorry, I'm just super excited!)
HELL YES!!! I MEAN, THAT ORC IS EASILY 7 FOOT 5-7 HUNDRED POUNDS AND HE JUST TACKLES HIM and yes momentum and easily be a factor...I have argued this with people, lol WHEN HE ROLLED HIM OVER IT CAN NOT BE!! AND HE WAS ONE HITTING THOSE ORCS!! Hobbits totally have a 'mother instinct' thing going got them, and on top of that the whole strength against evil the ring and don't even get me started on how much they eat. Hobbits have to have an insanely high metabolism which has benefits like your hair and nails also grow much faster (and jealous dwarves) high energy level, your body is in all-systems-go mode, 24/7. You rarely get sick, recover from exercise or injury in record time, improved brain function, and healthier looking skin buuuut it also accounts for the whole free radical thing and weight maintenance. Ohhhhhh, maybe hobbits are supposed to live longer but because they have such a high metabolism they age faster? What if they are supposed to live as long as dwarves? If they dont..eat so much......dammit, I turn everything into bagginshield, hahahaha
Hobbit AU in which Hobbits are feared throughout all of Middle Earth as being terrifying and powerful creatures but are thought to have died off centuries ago, when in actuality they just moved to the Shire and spread rumors about themselves to dissuaded people from coming after them. Thorin, having grown up on the stories, goes off to find one to take on the quest while Gandalf tries to talk him out of it because he totally knows about the real Hobbits
This is totally keeping in the Hobbits are totally OP universe. I just want to see Thorin mock Bilbo and Bilbo gives him what for and then Thorin follows him around like a love sick puppy.
