UK grad to perform Easter oratorio in NY
School of Music alum Gregory Turay will perform the Easter oratorio “Thy Will Be Done” at the Lincoln Center’s Geffen Hall in New York with The National Chorale, March 16.
Turay is keeping close ties to his roots with this concert: UK Opera Theatre director Dr. Everett McCorvey is the director of the National Chorale.

NR2.2.1.1 – JENNIFER’S SON AND BJORN ARE BEST FRIENDS
INT. HIGH SCHOOL DAY
Two young boys are hanging out in the hallway before class. They are both high school sophomores at Crystal Woods High School. Jacob Spalt and Bjorn Eriksen are both athletic and social teenagers.
JACOB
Hey Bjorn! How’s it going!
BJORN
Hey Jake, ready for a new school year.
JACOB
Ya... this year will definitely be better than last year, we’re Sophomores!
BJORN
I know what you mean. Did you get your timetable yet? What classes do you have?
JACOB
(hands timetable)
Take a look.
BJORN
We’re in the same Math class.
JACOB
Amazing! We still have time before first period starts, let’s head to the caf.
NR2.2.1.2
INT. HIGH SCHOOL DAY
Jacob and Bjorn enter the cafeteria, they notice a table seated with a group of students. Among the students, Kaylee Reynolds is there.
BJORN
(pointing) Oh look, there’s Kaylee.
JACOB
(walking towards table) Let’s go say hi.
KAYLEE
Hi guys!
BJORN
Hey Kaylee! How was your summer?
KAYLEE
It was good, what classes do you guys have this semester?
JACOB
We both have fourth period Math.
KAYLEE
Oh god, I feel bad for the teacher, you guys are such troublemakers hahaha.
BJORN
We are not troublemakers! Haha
JACOB
First period is about to start, we better get to class.
BJORN
Ya, we better get going.
NR2.2.2.1 – INGRID IS VIMAL’S PATIENT
INT. GENERAL HOSPITAL DAY
Vimal is in his office completing some files for cases he’s consulting on. The phone rings and he answers.
VIMAL
(on the phone)
Dr. Singh, Chief of Staff.
Yes, speaking.
Yes Mrs. Larsen, you can stop by in 5 minutes if you want to. I free this afternoon.
See you then. Bye.
Vimal hangs up the phone.
NR2.2.2.2
INT. GENERAL HOSPITAL DAY
Ingrid arrives to Vimal’s office and knocks on the door.
VIMAL
(from inside) Come in!
INGRID
Hi Dr. Singh, I’m Ingrid Larsen, we spoke on the phone earlier
VIMAL
Hi Ingrid, come on in, what did you want to discuss.
INGRID
Yes, I’m still not feeling well. I don’t know what it is, I’m light headed, my sleeping schedule is erratic, the food here makes me sick.
VIMAL
These all sound like symptoms of jetlag, I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about. But let’s get some tests run anyways. It will be quick.
INGRID
Ok great, thank you very much.
VIMAL
I’m just going to take your blood pressure and do a routine check up. (does medical tests)
INGRID
No problem.
VIMAL
Ok Ingrid, I’d like you to come back, but in the mean time, (fills out paperwork) I want you to do a few more test, they’re located 3rd floor, and they’ll just run a few more tests for you.
Ingrid leaves the room with the paperwork. Vimal looks at his notes for Ingrid’s file, and has a worried look.
NR2.2.3.1
INT. HIGH SCHOOL DAY
Patricia enters the teacher’s lounge, she’s looking frail and lethargic. Jennifer is taking a coffee break when Patricia is about to make an announcement.
PATRICIA
Can I have your attention. Due to a difficult few weeks, I will be taking a leave of absence. This means there will be changes with this semester’s schedule, and some of you will need to take on additional classes. I have a math class for fourth period is there anyone who can cover for me?
JENNIFER
Patricia, I can do it, fourth period is my free period, so I have the time.
PATRICIA
Thank you Jennifer, It’s in room 815. I’ll give you all the teaching materials tomorrow.
JENNIFER
No problem. I hope you feel better.
NR2.2.3.2
INT. HIGH SCHOOL DAY
The class is anxiously waiting for the teacher to arrive. Jacob and Bjorn are both sitting at the back of the class room. The students are starting to get rowdy, suddenly the door opens and Jennifer Spalt appears.
JENNIFER
Hi everyone. I’m Ms. Spalt. I know that your time table says that Mrs. Reynolds is your teacher for this period, but she’s taken a leave of absence, so I will be filling in. Does anyone have any questions?
STUDENT
Is this permanent or only for today.?
JENNIFER
I’m unsure about the status at the moment, but I will let you guys know. (looking at the back of the room) Boys back there! Please settle down. Let’s get started with today’s lesson.
Jennifer and Bjorn share a look, they both smile. The class begins the lesson.
